When did you decide to buy/get access to DLC?

Hi all, i was just curious to see how many people inmediatly gets DLCs, how many play a while, how many wait until finishing the base game and/or what makes people decide to buy DLCs.. ?

Feel free to share your experience. Here are my thoughts:

I've got my hands on ESO like 4 weeks ago (less actually), and since then, all i want to do is play the whole base game, and take the most out of it. And maybe, one day in a far away future, i'll consider DLCs. Personally my real life economic situation kinda sucks. But even if it were easy and cheap for me too, i'd rather play the whole base game first, and THEN i'd go for DLCs.

I've been here a while, i've got DLCs after playing the whole base game..

I bought the game on release for Xbox and didn't buy any DLC until a couple months ago when I bought Orsinium...turned out to be a waste of money as the 16GB DB update broke it to the point I needed my character moved from a crash loop.

Needless to say I was put off from buying anything else from ZOS but the recent sale has convinced me to buy DB as it's something I really wanted since announcement. It's so small though and the only saving feature is being able to murder people with the blade of woe...had I paid full price I probably would've been disappointed again.

I've been here a while, there wasn't any DLCs back then, so..

I do purchase most up front but have regretted buying IC, TG and DB

I sometimes sub but mainly now after moving to Xbox one thus the continued ESO plus crown issues, just buy crowns

I've been here a while, i've got DLCs after playing the whole base game..

I waited until I was past the main story line. Then I subbed and got all DLC.

I've been here a while, i've got the DLCs inmediatly tho..

Got the game when it launched on PC, switched to console when ESO:TU came out. I've bought all of the DLC on the day they came out, including Imperial City even though I never actively PvP.

This "Shadows of the Hist" DLC is going to be the first DLC I do not buy.

• I do not agree with the pricing for this "Dungeon-Add-on-Pack". I cannot justify paying as much for two (2) dungeons as I would for a proper DLC. The cost of SotH is absolutely absurd and mildly insulting IMO.
• I do not like the changes to the game that are accompanying the DLC in the Base Game Patch. My resource regen just got murdered for every single character I have. I'm actually pretty hot about that, so I don't discuss it much.
• Since I usually Solo the game (or only ever team up with my Wife), I don't ever get to run Trials or the 4-man Group Dungeons (not that I have any desire to run them anyway). I mention this because I know that there is gear from those activities that will mitigate this kick-to-the-nuts to resource regeneration, but it also means I will never acquire those items. So, my resource regen will just stay sub-par until ZOS realizes that this was a bad idea.
• I certainly do not agree with the ignorantly absurd pricing for a simple Name Change or hair cut. This has to be the single most ignorant decision I've seen in an MMO for quite a while. Was there something wrong with putting a barber shop in the game!? Was the fact that competing MMO's don't even charge half this price for their vanity appearance change options!? This is just more lost revenue that ZOS would have had if they had kept prices reasonable. 500 Crowns or so for a Haircut/Name Change? That I would probably do. 2500 Crowns!?!? for a Name Change? N.E.V.E.R.

So while I may be stuck having to find a way to deal with the horrible changes to this game in the base game patch, I refuse to give ZOS any money for this DLC.

I make my displeasure known by not opening my wallet.

yeah, what he said....

"Getting access" or "Buying", point is being able to play them. If you got ESO+, you got acces to DLCs. Question is when. It wasn't that hard to understand lol..

I'm new, and i already got access to DLCs because..

Because I decided to subscribe and I got access to all of them.

I am almost done with Cadwell's gold and so far I have only played the Thieves Guild because the main quest was bugged during 2 weeks and it did not allow character progression, that's why I decided to play DLC while it got fixed.

If there wouldn't have been any bugs ( ) I still would have only played the base game ^^

I subscribe to ESO+ so I don't HAVE TO buy DLCs.

Ah, I remember the big content drought of late 2014 - August 2015. Those were dark days ...

I've been here a while, there wasn't any DLCs back then, so..

DLC wasn't a thing when I started playing. I just kept the sub going because ZOS have given me hours of enjoyment.

um.... i subscribed from the start with the understanding that i would receive the dlc as and when it became available. i am certain that none of the options in your poll says anything much like that....

i've been here a while, i've got the the dlcs immediately tho..... doesn't really cover it since it implies i did something to get the dlc 'immediately' which isn't the case.

I got a larger paycheck than normal and decided to buy them all just because. Now I spend more time on the forum than in game tbh. takes too long to play it with little game time I have rather not get Dc'ed and stuff while trying to play a game so no more for me. I mean I hop on once in a blue moon but that's about it.
