Seperation of PC General Discussion and Console General Discussion?

Don't get me wrong here, console and PC players are equally important members of the community and without the support of console players, I cannot imagine how critical the current status of the game might be today. However, the misinformation is real. Although it is fairly satisfying now, but PC version used to be in a really bad state too, if not worse than console version now, and for players who visit this forum, they want to know about and discuss the problems, improvements, and changes of the particular version of ESO on the specific platform they play on.

For instance, most console players here right now are not interested in joining PC players' discussions about up-coming new content at all, because of the problems of console version, and they would write a lot of threads and relies stating that the game is now hardly playable and ZOS should stop making new content and fix the problems. Despite our sympathy for the console players, for we had been there, we still would like our threads to be focused on the topic we would like to talk about now.

PC version has its own problems too, such as the recent Gold Coast arena quest glitch, so I think PC players could talk about their own version's problems better in their own General Discussion. On the other hand, I think console players might also want to have their own General Discussion session, to communicate better with ZOS about their problems these days.

I agree, some issues concern consoles only and people tend to forget to mention this, yet later they do it, when you already posted your "pc response".
    Make a poll :).

If people have a problem with a platform it should get posted in the platform specific customer support. If it is a general issue for everyone it should go in the general discussion for everyone no matter what platform they are on. If people are incorrectly using the right area of the forum that is not a reason to start segregating the community.

I don't like the idea of separating the community, or "segregating" console players. I wouldn't like to see that.

What I would like to see, however, is the moderators taking action to enforce the posting of performance issues on the appropriate technical support forum for the platform concerned. This forum is for general discussion, and shouldn't be used to post about technical issues which are, in any event, more likely to be seen by the right technical staff if they are posted on the right technical forum.

That measure alone would deal effectively with the problem of console players mis-reporting what the posts often wrongly claim to be game-wide issues on this forum and immediately generating the whole "PC versus Console" nonsense that pervades this forum, and requiring such posts to be put on the appropriate platform forum it would also avoid everyone having to guess which platform the poster is talking about.

No but if it is pertinent to the discussion then stating which device you play the game on would be nice.

Annoying when ppl don't write the appropriate platform, equally annoying when they fail to separate pvp from pve discussions as well.

I like the way it is now, because even if some issues are pc only, and some are console only, it gives me an idea of what to expect when the dlc hits ps4. That's valuable information.

Am I the only one who clicked on this assuming a PC player suggested it?

    Shocking.

It's still shocking to me that people would freely choose to play this game on console instead of PC.

Although I'd like separate forums myself, I can't help but think that a console general discussion forum for ESO would be nothing more but a factory of sadness.

Since the console version tends to run a patch or two behind this makes sense as we're talking about completely different versions of the game all at the same time. It gets a little cluttered with noise coming from all sides at once.

Dont think seperation would be a good idea. PC players gets the DLC before we do, so we are able to learn about what to come both good and bad. However the platform could just be shown next to a players username like Khairiah[PS4] or you click a box like PC [ ] XBox [ ] PS4 [X] and it would be shown at the post headline..

This would also solve the problem.

Maybe the forum could provide a drop-down list of platforms while we making threads?
