It's not any of that. Group and look at your screen. There is one bar showing with respect to the other players. It's not magicka. It's not stamina. It's not DPS. It's not a stand-in-stupid or damage taken meter. It's not a build rating. It's not a mob aggro indicator.
THAT'S RIGHT!!! IT'S HEALTH. JUST HEALTH! AND HEALTH IS AN OK SURROGATE FOR HPS AND HEAL SUSTAIN!!!!!
So there is an ever present meter providing evidence to blame only one archetype. Sure, you could fraps that bad boy standing in one-shot stupid, but by the time you get it posted and send links to the webpage, the group has kicked you! Ten minutes later they will kick another healer, and break up in disgust because "no good healers are on."
But you say wait, there is a DPS check and/or enrage timers. Sure, but groups always have more dps than healers. Which DPS is to blame? Can't tell? BLAME THE HEALER!!! Because we have the zero health evidence! Plus, there is that narcissistic nature of most DPS to deal with. If they can admit a dps could be at fault, then maybe they can be at fault... and... THAT CAN'T BE TRUE!!!!
So is my solution to show stam and mag? How about any of those other indicators I mentioned? NO. Just remove the health bar altogether. Nothing will get the point across more effectively.

Even without a health bar, if people die they would still blame the healer. Want to judge dps ability? Add dps meters. However for some reason the community is largely against this.

NA on Xbox

Yeah, I had to run and then I didn't, so I can finish. What I meant was this. If a boss has an enrage timer, you don't really know if the DPS failed until the end except with respect to the mob's health, but to the extent my TOP DPS NA player picks his nose through half the fight and one hands, he can usually make up for it in the other half. There is no similar distributive mechanic for healing. Imagine if there was. A big circle that fills up like a mob's health drops. No individual health bars but instead you have to fill that sucker up before the timer runs out.
That's the root of the problem. Every fight a healer is filling that circle up for multiple players at a split second rate. Another option would be to make fights depend on periodic bursts spaced apart the same way healing stress is and if the DPS fails the burst they die.

Theres a difference between healing and spamming mutagen. The hate is mostly aimed towards the latter. Lol
I have always been a healer in every game I have played. I also play on Xbox and recently went to dps because I got sick and tired of people telling me that a healer is the easiest class to play and alls we have to do is spam one button. Screw that! Go heal yourselves. I also mainly do PVP.

Trying to answer constructively. First, you should not be healing 24/7. Most people wildly over heal. At least half of what you do should be about group utility. I think the reason that people can seem to be rude with healers is that they are the role that needs to be the most flexible. A DPS is going to have a rotation that optimizes their damage, a Tank is going to have a build that keeps them alive and allows them to control the battle field. A healer MUST adapt to their group, and some of them arent so good at it.
DPS and Tanks all have different needs, it is a healers job to communicate with them and do their best to help. For example, a stam DPS will need repentance shards or a Master Resto staff. A magic DPS is going to want ele drain or orbs. All DPS except NBs are going to want combat prayer. EVERYONE wants aggressive warhorn. I am of course speaking about groups trying to push DPS and be reasonably competitive.
I often run a magic DK or sorc in group content. On my sorc especially, I run kena. It's great damage, but it takes a healer running Elemental drain or I am going to run out of resources and die. That requires a destruction staff. I have lost track of the number of times I have asked a healer for ele drain to be told, they didnt want to drop their swords to slot a staff. Well, they arent doing their job and should be told so accordingly. Of course I always end up dropping Kena or switching toons and adapting, but that is a bad policy. Healers need to be more adaptable than any other role, and many of them refuse to be. And yes, I heal as well. The first question I ask of any group is are the DPS magic or stam, and is there anything specific I need to run.

This is why I stopped being a healer. This isn't even constructive IMHO. Healers should not have to help dps sustain their own resources. Wtf. If there's any reasoning or logic behind this position, then I'd rather be a filthy casual than a min maxer.
