How long for a 180k bounty to go down with level 10 thieves guild

I went on a killing spree in mournhold last night, I still hae a 180k bounty. Any idea how long this will last with the few passives in the thieves guild line I have?

I think that'll take a few days to come down to zero.

Have you any counterfeit pardon edicts or the such to help bring it down?

Wasted them all along time ago. I also spent all of my gold so I don't got 100k to get the achievement with

Hmmmm then sorry dude, it'll take a good while to go down, even with the passives.

Though there's a thing in the DB skills too called Scales of Pitiless Justice. Invest in that too. Not the most helpful solution, I'm afraid to say. But that's about all you can do. Wait.

Note, the accelerated reduction of the bounty passive only works if your logged in, not sure if its the game or the character that stops the accelerated rate.

This is also true. The bounty does decrease when not logged in under the character, but not at an accelerated rate.

Grind rank in cyrodiil, the justice system didn't extend there. Optionally do tenaments, dungeons, or mist dailies.

Bounty reduction seems to have a threshold of 10k or so a day (24 hours). This is never spelled out or clarified anywhere, but I foolishly went on a mass murder spree and racked up a 200k+ bounty as I was going away for an extended duration of time and figured it'd be a neat way to make some quick money.

Came back two weeks later to find I still had a bounty of 90k; if the bounty had gone away at a steady pace of 2300 gold an hour (115 every three minutes at max level with maxed out passives), I would've been clean in less than a week (55200 gold a day). A friend who has a multi-million bounty confirmed this as well.

You pay 100k in total bounties.


Either way, I don't have 100k besides in my guild bank. If I cannot get someone to pay off my bounty I'm never going to be able to play the new DLC content lol. Definitely not playing on a new character.

Have you finished the TG questline? You get a 100k bounty decrease in the last quest.

It'll go away in about a five days, I think. Mine was at 1.7 million twice, and it's back to normal again.

Only if it was low enough in the first place to decrease by that amount in the time you were logged off. It does go down when logged off, but not away entirely. Time has to pass.

You could do the TG quest line as he reward a 100k bountie remover.

Not much help now though.

I lose 80 points / every 3 minutes I think.. so 180k will take 750 (3 minute intervals) = 12.5 days (But this is also offline time too! so each morning you wake up, you owe less $$.

I also have a trophy thingy in my inventory that removes 100k.. I think you get them for doing daily quests, or the main quest or something?

Well its a matter of if u want to play as an outlaw or a good citizen. U need to stay the path u have chosen. Outlaw for life on that toon.

It's not zos fault.

Don't rack up a stupidly high bounty in the first place if you don't have the gold to pay for it.

Go and farm mats, get tempers, sell them and pay off your bounty that way.

It's not zos fault.

It's not ZOS fault for implementing a system that allows one to literally be unable to play the game because the bounties do not disappear on their own, but over time or for gold payment. To a certain extent this is just unplayable / game breaking, I don't want to wait a week to play on my main character again. I haven't upped a ticket so before the community starts *** posting consider this: There is no reason to have something break your game like this.

Someone just said they had 2 million bounty and after nearly a year it's still up. If that's true ZOS needs to change this asap, make the bounty timer multiply the higher it gets so it goes by faster or create a bounty limit at like 100k, which would also get rid of people racking up a 100k bounty just to pay it off for the achievement.

Usually clears the bounty (the one time i was caught dammit!)

And i dont understand your argument. If you kill civilians, you are a murdere and must be punished (SOME immersion is needed). It doesnt stop you from playing the game, just from going to civilised places (where you obviously dont belong, murderous scum!)

Take responsibility for your own actions. You wanted to go on a nurderous rampage. Own it.

Flawed logic doesn't address the point.

Point being: A feature ZOS has implemented can completely break someones game. Meaning they cannot interact with vendors, or ever pay off their bounty unless they wait literally years or pay millions of gold. This is a fundamentally game breaking issue that needs to be addressed. I created a ticket, I'm expecting a bot response but I'll definitely put pressure on ZOS for this. I only play this game with one character, can't help what the game literally lets you make it unplayable. As a MMO is this unacceptable, you can rant all you want but this is a real issue that must be addressed despite the communities opinion.
