PvP on console is seriously so cancerous

All you see are unkillable Templars running 5 Reactive/Black Rose + 5 Fasalla's/Transmutation + 2 Malubeth and button mashing Blazing Shield.

I've even seen a duo using the same exact setup above, and just steam rolling everybody. The first person uses Mystic Guard on the second person (the Blazing Shield spammer) and the only way to stop them is by bringing on an entire zerg of 15+ people.

Where is the counter to this incredible healing?

Stuff like this is why I even strayed away from Cyrodiil/IC. This is probably worse than when everybody was stacking Camo Hunter, infinitely dodge rolling or zerg-bombing with the old Proximity Detonation.

Best way to kill a templar is to not fight a templar. Templars will get a nerf... soon.

Reactive, Black Rose, Fasalla's, and Transmutation have nothing to do with Templars. Anyone can run them and build a tanky character that runs group buffs/debuffs.

Malubeth has been nerfect TWICE in the last two weeks already.

Templars have self heals. It is a class thing, you can't really "nerf them" in that regard without just removing them from the game. They will always lack burst compared to NB/Sorc, and DK are arguably as tanky with better sustain (assuming no bodies around to Repentance).

Most Templars aren't running Blazing Shield builds. Those that do you snare, kite, and range. Besides even with a ton of health BS won't be hitting for much more than normal Proxy Det, and with that much investment in health their other stats and regen will be terrible.

So, kite them around, kill off their support, then either whittle away at their resources or walk away knowing they could never kill you either.

Not all classes have to be carbon copies of each other.

    We got a templar!

I have one too. But I can see when something is flat out broken. Malaubeth is broken on a templar. Stupid op.

Some are built to be unkillable. Still get plenty of kills. Anyone at 30% health who's 40 metres away gets a beam. Insta kill pretty much.

Malaubeth needs to be sorted and beam needs a reduction.

She is on console we haven't had all of the Maulbeth set fixes that PC have had. Were all of the complaints from PC players L2P issues as well?

Just had this same set up in IC today on PS4. Two Temp tanks one healing and the other sharding and sun shielding with guard between them. 4-5 people hitting them and Maulbeth proc'ing for them alot more than Engine Guardian was for me. They ended up dragging a boss over because they were not doing enough damage to do the fighting for them. Looking forward to getting the longer cooldown, shorter beam and less incoming heal changes that PC got with the next update for console.

PVP maybe cancerous, but its ZOS that propagate the growth of this cancer

The counter to it is a negate magic bubble then a multitude of CC’s to burn their stamina and then nuke them

PVP is actually working better than PVE right now, cyrodiil is less laggy than maelstrom atm. im actually enjoying PVP because PVE is so broken, or rather every single nerf or balance that zos do is geared towards PVP so it makes sense that PVE is completely shafted right now.

ZOS should just get rid of PVE and magicka altogether, then there would be no need for constant nerfs. The game should be rebranded as "Stamina nightblade dragonknight PVP scrolls online", that would make sense.

Found a small group of four AD today in the IC Sewers. One of them was a 1h/shield Malubeth + Reactive + Transmutation Templar spamming Blazing Shield.

I killed off the other three, but this person wouldn't die. Finally the Cancerplar transformed in a Werewolf and I defeated it because they weren't so impossibly tanky.

That right there is why Magicka Sorc/NB/DK are rare nowadays. If you aren't running a Stamina build (which is superior in this meta) then you are running a Templar. Little known fact, Stamina Templar is probably the "strongest" class spec atm.

Yes PvP is cancer, but these bugged sets being abused (Malubeth/Reactive) is the real issue. Update 11 should fix these bugs.

Who are these mythical people so many of you are worried about? I'm in console PVP almost every day. I run a Templar and don't use any of the stuff the OP describes. All I mostly see are large groups of players who stand still with no clue on how to defend themselves in situations other than 1 on 1s. Groups that get defeated 8 on 20 because they can't grasp the concept of flanking.

So much of what some of you are scared of is boogieman in the closet nonsense. If you want to complain, complain about how your screen melts during a bridge fight or disconnecting when porting to a gate keep. There are dozens of builds that can be dominant in Cyrodiil.

When this game first came out for console, templars were known for being so weak.
I took a break from the game when ic dropped, i returned after 7 months and suddenly realized an increase in templar characters, What happened? people still complain about nightblades needing to be nerfed, no.
The only class that needs to be nerfed are templars and the only class that needs to get buffed is mdk.

    ^At least someone said it.

And yes, there are ways to burn down a Templar as long as you use poisons. Doesn't always work. But they certainly aren't all unstoppable.

I'm used to that gameplay. It's solo PvP :/

There is plenty to complain about. I could not have killed that (and would've left out of sheer boredom) Templar even if there were another player helping me because:
    • Malubeth is highly bugged and OP
    • Reactive is highly bugged and has 100% uptime on those Templars

Two bugged sets. When they are used by semi-decent players who know what is going on, they can be unkillable to any leas than a small group or a few strong, high burst damage players who get lucky and don't set off Malubeth procs when the target is low health.

The only reason I killed the Templar was because the player transformed into a werewolf and was no longer as broken tanky. It was a 5 min fight just with that one player.

This is console PvP. Malubeth Magicka Templars are still utter cancer.

I run a trollplar now and then. Two ways to kill them. Light attack them. Or kite them. Even with Black Rose they will run out of resources.

Any Templar with good damage from a shield is not going to heal without running out of magicka, 2x if they use reactive.

The other approach is don't aoe and ignore them...

Well I usually wait five minutes when a group of DC is fight a magica Templar such as this.More likely am sitting in a chair watching the whole thing happen. After those five minutes I get up wait for him to reapply his shield than count 6 seconds for the shield to expire ambush in and fear him into a incap and let the pugs take over from their.Than Redguard Dance on their bodies.Fun times very fun times.

So there's a new meta, within the current meta. People are slowly figuring out how to deal with this playstyle.

The way I look at it is this. People hated zergs, zergs were difficult to bust. ZOS attempted to quell this epidemic but the game breeds it more than ZOS can contain it. They nerfed large group ap? Brought up the dmg of so called zerg busters, then nerfed *** anyways.

Zergs are still here. The problem hasn't gone away, but here are the rise of the tanks.

My 4 man group that consisted of 2 templars, myself, a blazing shield health build. Mag templar tank. 2 stam DKs, both tanks. We ran the districts and sewers for 3 hours. We stood in the path of many zergs. We were still standing when it was all over with.

Moral of the story, you hate us, but we're here to stay. There are ways to kill us, but it's up to you to decide your fates.

    And here comes the flame....
