Trapping Webs Idea (Undaunted Skill)

I'd like to advocate change for the Trapping Webs skill which would allow it to automatically summon spiders without the need for an ally to activate a synergy. As compensation for automatic spiders, the damage from the webs could be reduced, and to fill the synergy void, activation by allies (if they choose to activate) could extend the duration of the already summoned spiders from 15 to 25 seconds.

In the game's current state, most allies don't waste time and precious dps by activating synergies which don't provide substantial boosts to the team's overall damage. Having two spiders from Trapping Webs does not quite fit into that category, which usually means that the spiders won't see the light of day. I rarely see Trapping Webs used, and when I try to implement it into my rotation, most players just scoff at the skill or ignore it altogether.

It's a shame to see such a cool idea - summoned spiders - go to waste because some players do not consider it strong or valuable enough. Perhaps this change could make the skill a bit more attractive - because it's a ton of fun and a really cool skill idea that unfortunately relies too much on, in my experience, uninterested players to fulfill its potential. Thoughts?

    The summoned spiders hit for less than 100 damage per bite in full legendary c160 gear and 530 champion points. They need to be good before you want to do that.

    All the more reason that they should be put into play without needing an ally to activate them.

    That defeats the design philosophy of the entire undaunted skill line. They should make the spiders good, not remove the synergy. Or redesign the ability entirely.

    No. Please don't let them spawn without activating synergy. It's enough having friends deliberately spawn them in dungeons, cus they know I'm terrified of'm ._____.

    I think you miss something . With Templar , it gives you unlimited stamina sustain . They die pretty quickly and it takes 1 repentance to give everyone stamina . I met a healer once who was using it in SO . He wanted us to use the synergy whenever we see it and we did . Believe me , none regretted using it . Since they die instantly while fighting Serpent , he just repent them and team was full stamina all the time . It has its use . It was the time when most of us weren't at CP cap . Now it doesn't have any use sadly because CP gives all the sustain we need . Maybe it doesn't work that like now but if it is still usable like that , I don't think it needs any buffs .

    While I see the power of the use you mention. Undaunted skills should not be limited in scope to being useful in conjunction with one class. This skill is very underwhelming, even given allies use the synergy.
