That being said, I have a blast with my mDK and they have to be careful with the buffs given because I could be an absolute monster if you increased my burst capability from range.
I dont play on the other campaigns, and I think everyone knows that, so I am obviously biased to Azuras, but it feels right there so I don't leave.

Here's some tips from a mDK on how to beat a mDK as a sorc. First of all, if they're only spamming wings, they will run out of magic. It's expensive to keep up all the time. Second, light attacks count, and crushing shock is three projectiles. Velocious curse goes through it, as does both flavors of magicka det if you use that. So the way you burst a mDK is sit in your mines and poke them with a light attack, crushing shock periodically. Put just enough pressure that they maintain wings. With a frag procced, watch for the wings animation. Hit them with a curse then count to three (remember, wings only lasts 4 seconds), streak through them to stun them, then proceed to burst them with frags, wrath, and DBoS.
This is a L2P issue for YOU then. If a few mines completely disable you, then this is your imagination that blocks you out.
You can still attack me if you want when I stand in mines. But I can't do anything against you when you have wings up.
I will wait for you to let them wings down, which requires you to make a mistake. And then my only chance is to burst you down from 100% to 0 within the split of a second until you break free and this is fairly hard.
But there are many players who eat mines like candy, because mines are completely overrestimated.
You still can attack a DK even when wings are up. How many Sorc skills are reflectable, 2? Shards and Overloard. You can use other skills too.
Shard, force shock. My 2 most important attacks and both get completely negated and
Yes, I do. Because crystal shard is the breed and butter of Mag Sorcs. You can't kill without crystal shard= immortal DK
It's not my fault that we have nothing else in our arsenal besides frags. Maybe this shows you how pitiful Sorc damage is.
But I think the worst thing, is that force shock is reflectable. It's a freaking beam according to its visual
Force shock isn't just reflectable, it counts as three so a light attack+crushing shock+frag should guarantee the frag hits as long as the DK doesn't reapply wings in between (which gets expensive).
OMG. Please, it was bad enough so far. But now even wrong informations ? Please go.
Force shock counts as 1 projectile, that was even stated in the patchnotes of 1.6
Wings was nerfed at this point and force shock only counts as 1 projectile since then.
Force shock also only counts as 1 hit for elemental drain (formerly 3 hits)
If you are a DK, then you would definately know this. But I'm sure you got used to your immortality VS Sorcs. I as a Sorc know how it feels to get all my shocks and frags reflected back at me.

You just suck. I had plenty of sorcs smack me around using Curse And Endless fury while hitting me with an unsuspecting frag. Stop crying because you lost to the most pitiful class in the game

If you completely sacrifice all survivability/sustain, can you at least get burst damage on par of other mag classes?
No, whatever you do as mDK = no burst and outhealed.
DKs have nothing that brings you in trouble in comparison to any other mClass.
No matter how good you are as a player, there is nothing you can do about it.
Decent mDK player vs. decent xClass player = no chance, the game won't let you.
That's not true. Even when fighting high HP stamplars with Sun Shield, they can be 2-shot in optimal scenarios. Elegant+IA+Kena wîth Sharpened Inferno and then Stone Fist (if it hits lol), Talons, weave your light attacks to proc mag+stam drain, Structured Entropy boosted by Igneous (40%) and CP (25%) and you're talking 35k+ heavy atacks and all they can do is watch and die. They might get one heal off, but they won't be able to sustain much more than that. And if they do, 1 Soul Assault will fix that. Vanguard has gotten as high as 42k crits on players and has streamed multiple 1vX fights using the build (no Impen) and won.
That's the only effective way a mDK can be a glass cannon, but it CAN be done.
I must see this to believe it. Not against scrub players either. If I see a bunch of scrubs in the clip You will lose footing here. Any links you can share to this footage?
Won't let me embed. Here's a tweaked survival vid of him hitting 23-33k on some guys without debuffs and also slotting in more defensive gear and skills.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kMrvvi_7NY8

First I want to say thank you for sharing it. Second, it's always great to see people trying new things out on mDK. Love seeing that
Now for the breakdown. Would have been better to see more combat footage with more skilled player opponents. I only saw one 501 CP enemy. And never really saw him getting ccd and pressured by opponents. But the build illustrates what we as a community have been echoing since 1.6. Class heal is lack luster. Spammable class attack is weak compared to other classes. Regardless I shared the video to a friend who has also been thinking about a build like that.

I haven't lostI am a pet Sorcerer and I have something I can do against Dragonknights.
But normal Sorcerer don't stand the slightest chance against a somewhat skilled DK.
If you think magica dk sux , try light armor destro heavy attack. Empowered + kena +elegance in pve i do 50-55k crits ,pvp 15 -25k crits ^^

@RouDeR this is a good gank build, but not viable for open world PvP. Heavy destro attacks are too easy to dodge or avoid with shuffle. It was fun to gank people as a mDK though!
