A few suggestions for the Sorc pets

I like the idea of pets not being a DoT, but instead being an effect. The effects could be:
a heal / healer; a tank/ defensive buff: an offensive buffer: an offensive debuffer.

They would still be very minor dot (non scaling) but with a main effect (this could be a group buff) and an active ability.

The damage tooltip of pets now raises when you put point into elemental expert. But their damage still remains the same,
What do you think about that ? Hopefully the finally make them scale with CP

    Trinimac is my shield,
    Magnus is my mind.

Why can we not use Guard (Alliance War) on our pets for higher survivability of our pets.

The tooltip of Guard states: "Create a lifebond between you and an ally".
You can heal your pet as an "ally".
    So why not guard ?
    Is that overlooked ?

As long as the pet has a damage shield, the 30% of the damage taken by the pet will NOT be transfered to you.
But when the damage shield of the pet is down, you have secured a 30% reduction of damage to the pet !
(see the post below of @Destruent describing very nicely how Guard works :) )

You cannot guard the last one, but it looks rly funny

    @paulsimonps
When we tested guard we discovered the following:

    player 1 guards player 2

The damage done to player 1 can be mitigated by:
    - physical/spellresist of player 2
    - player 2 blocks
    - player 2 uses a damage shield (no damage transferred)
    - physical/spellresist of player 1
    - player 1 uses a damage shield

but it looks like, this is the same what you discovered ::)
We tested this on the live server, btw. But it seems they didn't change anything :)

    And yes,
This is also a way for Sorcs to get Minor Force for the 12% buff on Critical Strike Damage.

    You can use guard...

Do you have a screenshot ?

On live it does not work for me with Mystic guard and both Clanfear as Twilight Tormentor.

And I just tested on PTS whether that would change if I used the unmorphed abilities:
    See the screenshot:
Cursor is on the Familiar and ability 3, Guard, is not lightened.
Pressing the button has no effect.

iirc I tried it with the clannfear but I don't see why it wouldn't work with other pets

    Thanks a lot @psychotic13 :)

So on your Xbox Guard works on both pets, on my PC (EU) Guard does nothing.

Can any other Sorc check it out on his platform ?

@hrothbern Yeah, although I was using the unmorphed guard but I wouldn't think that would be relevant, I didn't get to check the familier cause I was too lazy to go and respec.

Tomorrow I do a proper check in PTS for all combinations of unmorphed and all morphs.

I hope also we get some feedback from other Sorcs.

My suggestion to make pets better is a command list the AI follows
you can set your pets to do one of the following:
    Attack highest health enemies
    Attack lowest health enemies
    Attack boss type enemies
Attack only when player is attacked( this will attack whomever attacked you)
Defensive( your pets will stay close and only fight when your enemy is within 10m this might be good for the Twilight Matriarch)
    etc
these changes will allow pets to be more focused more efficient damage dealers.

Also damage and health buffs for pets anywhere from 50 to 200% as needed
Also give the Clanfear a tail smacking knockdown that hits like old Wreaking Blow

there and pets fixed another problem solved.
Xbox One - NA GT: RebornV3x
I also play on PC from time to time but I just wanna be left alone on there so sorry.

I tested on live PC, before the Hist DLC, whether it worked for the morphs I had, and it did not work.
So that points to a PC bug.

I really want to guard my Clanfear when he tanks bosses

7k magicka cost for a self heal based on health, what did @Wrobel ***** when he designed it.

I think he did not have in mind a high Magicka stat, low Health stat classic Sorc, because they have big cost efficient Shields compared to an expensive and relativel small Clanfear Heal.

The Clanfear Heal is interesting for a Health Sorc (the Heal is 35% of your Sorc's Health).
However, that Health Sorc must do many fully charged Heavy Attacks for the Restore Magicka to pay the very expensive Clanfear Heal.
Note: a Health Sorc has also a small Magicka pool and therefore a small buffer in Magicka and needs to fill back with HA's almost continuously.
From theocrafting I would say that the main stream Magicka Sorc using Shields is more efficient. The costs of Ward are 50% of the Clanfear Heal and you can protect all your pets (besides that a Magicka Sorc will always do substantial more damage).

    Nevertheless.
I made recently such a Health Sorc, for fun in PVP and also to see how such an out of the box build would really work.
Both for PVP as PVE (undermanned pledges etc).
Fast-leveled by main quests only, meanwhile Rank 9 in Alliance War and at this moment a break from PVP for levelling skills, Undaunted, Mage Guild, getting Skyshards etc.

So far my finding is that you are very much pidgeonholed in doing a lot of HA's to pay for the costs and keep the Clanfear alive and doing little damage.

The first thing I would change is making the Clanfear Heal also healing your Twilight.

Although the damage of Twilight is not big for a mainstream Magicka Sorc, it is relatively bigger when you cannot cast that many other abilities, because you have less Magicka sustain left after the expensive Clanfear heals and are doing so many time consuming fully charged Heavy Attacks.
And why should the Twilight Heal, scaling from Magicka, aimed at Magicka Sorcs, be for yourself and both pets... and the Clanfear Heal only for yourself and one pet, himself ?

The second thing is fixing a bug on PC to be able to protect one of your pets with Guard.
With Guard I would need less Clanfear Heals to keep my (tanking) Clanfear or my vulnerable "DD" Twilight alive and save time and costs to do other things.
According to the tooltip of Guard this must be possible. According to one of the posts above, including screenshots (thanks @psychotic13 :) ) it is possible on Xbox and Sorcs are using it. So I would really have clarified from ZOS ( @ZOS_GinaBruno , @ZOS_JessicaFolsom ) whether this is a bug on PC EU or unintended on Xbox. And intended or not. We need it.
I just checked out for PC on PTS all 18 different combinations of the Guard morphs and pet morphs.
And in none of them Guard functions on PC.

The third thing is to evaluate the frequency rate of builds using the Heal and based on that tweaking down the costs
The costs of the Clanfear Heal are indeed very high, and it could turn out that this needs a tweak to make Clanfear Heal builds viable for a Health Sorc. And making by that a Health Sorc viable. That's what I am trying to find out with my current active main character.
But using Clanfear Heal as a mainstream Magicka Shield Sorc Heal will never be an effective & efficient option compared to Shields. Just like Ward is not an effective & efficient option for a Health Sorc.
