Do you want to see Gear level increased to CP 180?

Personally I would vote No, cause increasing gear level would only increase grinding for no other purpose other than just grinding, all my characters will have to get new gear and would probably be too much time and effort for me and just quit.

I also want to know those who want to increase the gear level what is their point of view.

This is just a tag for the ZOS team in case they were thinking about it to see what the community thinks.

If you don't want to grind for the new gear then don't. What happens when the lvl gets up to say CP200 plus, would you want the gear to be raised then?

Just found this apparently datamined , regardless of what it is, its probably for PTS, but it's CP 180 so they are probably thinking about it, I really hope they change their minds

Would suck to grind for more....

HOWEVER.... It would be great if we can upgrade the gear level :)

I'm not voting because I don't represent the end game players. I'm CP141. What I dont want to see is a certain block of gear becoming only useful to new players. When we go to 180 yes the 180 stuff would be great and the people who love their gear now will suddenly fall inlove with new pieces but there's another set of gear being created that isn't getting used by them at all.. The 170cp gear!

There's no reason not to have it at CP170 and make the difference in gear seem like 20 levels or even more

Then why do it in the first place?? What purpose would it serve?

There is no way in bloody hell that I am going to refarm my vMA weapons, my SPC pieces, my divines monster sets, my robust Agility jewelry, my arcane Willpower jewelry, my Vicious Ophidian, etc. If they do that, a lot of endgame players will quit the game.

And people said the same when level and gear cap were increased from V10 to V12, later to V14, and then to V16. There were even a few people on the forums demanding refund of their gold mats, and all those rare sets they farmed, etc. :p

It's not particularly fun to obtain new gear when it happens, but I'm guessing both gear cap and level cap (spendable champion points) will continue to increase at roughly the same pace since launch (so far it has been a couple levels, or 20-30 CP every 9 months or so).

Increasing the gear cap is the way that new sets, dungeons, etc., get added to the game. I'd be extremely surprised if it ever stopped progressing. Fortunately, now the progression is account wide, so at least there is no need to grind your alts.

We get dopamine in our brains from reward? Lol that's why MMOs exist and thrive because it takes advantage of people with addictive dopamine tendencies?

Its one thing as people I'm sure we all have in common, we like the feeling of reward a bit too much

that is not entirely true, Vet levels were increased because newer higher level areas were introduced, with one Tamriel this will all be moot, so no reason at all to increase Gear level, also most people will already be at max level as soon as it hits, so they just have to refarm everything again for no reason.

No purely because of armour. Imagine having to get all your Undanuted Monster heads and shoulders AGAIN? Screw that.

Then Maelstrom Weapons, jewellery? There's to much grind, would take to long and I don't want to grind content that's already been grinded.

New Areas will scale to your level, so it won't make any sense to increase gear level. Every since they introduced this mechanic with IC they haven't increased gear level since it serves no purpose. More so now with the CP system

So what about when people get bored of sets etc that exist?

Everyone seems fixed on current gear but what about when they get boring?

Yes, Vvardenfell will probably include whole new tier of mats, which would seem pointless without also increasing the gear cap.
