Incapacitating Strike

So I was practicing on my StamBlade last night, and I must say...I love this move. But it does need a change. I'm hitting 10k damage every time...THROUGH PEOPLE WITH IMPEN. And what makes it insane is that it does the same damage that Dawnbreaker and Take Flight does...so I feel that the 75 Ultimate is way to little. I used it once, and literally not one minute later is was ready again. I feel that this move's damage should remain, but it should be on par with the cost of the other Ultimates.
Also...am I supposed to be able to double stun someone? I Ambushed them, they broke free, then IS'ed them, and they were stunned again! I felt so bad.

    The damage is pretty high for its ultimate cost especially after the nightblade uses Ambush to increase the damage of it by 20%, so it can be insane, but that's mainly when NBs stack 4-5k weapon damage... as controversial as this topic sounds, I agree... But so many angry NB defenders are on their way, so embrace yourself.

    It's a single target ability, and you have to be up really close to use it. The ability itself is fine, compared to other ultis out there.

    Only thing I would change is the cost tho: from 50 to 75? Considering the NB passive Catalyst has been buffed in the past, and with Transfer assisting in Ulti generation

    Right now when I use it. I have an extremely high Miss chance. If I use it near a large group I am dead. Case in point just last night I used it on the EP EMP. AKA Frosty the Frozen Frosty from Frostyville. I ambushed into him awesome!!!. Then Incap MISSED. DRATS!! Then I was dead. So I get rezzed. Then work on building ulti. then I go hunting the emp again. Just to see Bloos at the same keep also hunting the Empypoo. I tried to avoid them as I wanted strawberries and not blueberries. So I tab target a red.I smash ambush.MISSS. Right into the pack of blues. I tried Incap and the MISS again then i died and the DC used me as rezz bait to kill many many many many of those that tried to come to my aid..When it connects I can see a stun but it does not always stun. Bomtard has a more reliable lock.But I do not use a bow anymore as it gets you lots of hate. not just blue text but your own faction looks at you as cowardly for using it. so now i'm using 2H including my off bar.

    I also tried it the day before yesterday on ESSa-KH lol better bring more than Incap to that fight.In fact if I run through my kill logs I am most certainly to find that it was concealed weapon, or ambush that was the finisher and not IS.

    I play anywhere from 6 to 14 hours a day 5 -7 days a week NA PC TF so I use it alot. and it is not as "golden" as you make it out to be

    Wait until you have used Incap strike through more than one campaign before you overstate it's value.Right now I think it is handing me to the wolves way more than it is dispatching them.

    I actually trained up the fear and morphed it to mass hysterics just to have a way out after incap fails.

    You are all on a treadmill. While you happily invested more and more points into damage and sustain. ZOS was busy nerfing Helping Hands passive from DK, Leeching strikes passive from nightblade, dark deal from sorc. Making class abilities more homogenized and less unique, all to pay for the power gained by the champion system.

    I edited my comment so what you quoted isn't so relevant, but! I personally think Ambush shouldn't empower the strike by 20% for starters...

    Just tested and I'm pretty sure it can't be dodged as it's a conal AoE, not a single target skill. Obviously by dodged I meant dodge roll. Of course if you dodge yourself out of it's range before they use the attack then that would work, but I'm pretty sure the untouchable period during a dodge roll doesn't affect dawnbreaker.

    Someone else feel free to correct me if i'm wrong

    Dawnbreaker (dodge not help you, nice damage, AoE ) or overload (many shots, overdamage, restore resource) - it's more strong abilitys.

    You can work like WB if you walk into the player you will dodge the DBOS and you have to time meteor to the last second before it land to dodge it.So its hard but not impossible.

    Honestly, people dodge that move so much it needs to be 50 ultimate.
    That shuffle spam is this ability worst enemy.

    Dawnbreaker initial hit is not much less than incap, but leaves a strong dot. And it goes through dodge roll. I only use Incap for the debuff as I don't have access to one with 2h/Bow.
    Dawnbreaker puts much more pressure in 1v1 and is endlessly more useful in 1vX and XvX.

    you cant call for night blade nerfs on this forum as the floods of tears wipe out any hope of it.

    I don't see much crying on this thread to be fair, just people giving examples of ultimates that are far superior to IS.

    I am a Nightblade and I honestly have no complaints about Incapacitating Strike. However, I do not judge those that do have complaints.

    Oh, Dawnbreaker of Smiting is such a wonderful skill: extra weapon damage, knockdown, DoT, undodgeable AoE ultimate, ...

    It's a bit much it needs to be toned down and dawnbresker needs to have ultimate increase to 150.

    And to the OP yeah I'm taking 10k hits with it with 2200 crit resist currently.

    Incap needs the stun change reverted. Make people think before using it.

    Other than that it's fine. A slight block or dodge, and it'll do next to no damage. Nightblades should have this kind of single target damage. Build tankier and be ready for it. L2counteray

    Dawnbreaker isn't a class skill, hits almost as much bust and even more damage with its dot, and is aoe. It's a bigger problem.

    But honestly, neither of these abilities is game breaking. I'd say just leave them until we deal with things like Bombard, Malubeth, and Radiant.
