What are we watching?

Very nice, does it help with the texture clipping? How's the draw distance in comparison to 1080

One could argue to then wait just a little more for the 1180.
I subscribe to the upgrade when you need to and sell the old gear.

I always go for the ti version. Currently on 980ti.

The video that is up is us collecting sky shards and getting world bosses on our alts.
I have 11GB of 26GB transferred to my iMac. That is just me questing. I have to trim it down and encode it. People had expressed interest in seeing how ESO played with a GTX 1080.
On Monday I'll have my second GTX 1080 so I can also work on showing the difference a second one makes.

Thanks so much for making these videos!
And you have a behemoth Windows workstation with i7-5930K and GTX 1080, but you are editing the footage on an iMac??
Just got a 1070 however, need a monitor upgrade.
4k or higher refresh..or both?
Here is a clip of game play. My Premiere is limited to 1080P but at the start I have shown the video settings being used. This is PVE with a group of seven.
I have to go back and do this again in PVP and see if I can get the frame rate to display. For now though this will give an idea of performance for those that are interested.

I plan on getting 1080 or 1080Ti by Xmas sales, but I wasn't planning any upgrade to my 4790K rig.
With the CPU nature of ESO, I thought max single-core boost was most important. Is the 5930K giving you more single core performance than a 4790K would?
And are you using the 64bit exe? That exe didn't add more core usage did it?

I run ESO on GTX 1080 and i7 4790k @ 4.5Ghz - performance outside Cyrodiil is outstanding, even in large cities. As soon as you enter Cyrodiil, it seems all good and well, but over time the performance deteriorates that much, often dropping to 5 FPS for a few split seconds. That used to be the case on my old hardware and is the case now. Doesn't seem to matter what hardware horsepower is used, it's just horribly optimized.
P.S. Running at 4k as well.
And now try 4k on a full Cyro server

So with Titan X SLI, your frames stay above 60fps at 4K max settings even in large battles, say Trueflame at primetime? What CPU do you have? Can you record some footage?jwilkins66ub17_ESO wrote: »When PVP lag hits the frame rate stays the same, the game updates from the client/server slow to a crawl making it seem like a slideshow of course.

4K is likely too high resolution for large Cyrodiil battles, even with GTX 1080. It's a lot more demanding than the rest of the game, particularly on the CPU whenever you get attacked by multiple enemy players at once.
Back in January, Sirrmattus was getting around 30-40fps at 1080p max settings incl AA in zergs with i7-5820K and 980Ti, which is the highest framerate I've seen to date in that scenario. There have been some optimizations in the patches since, so hopefully you guys with Pascal might get perhaps 50fps or more? That would be fantastic.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=skOHswEcVt4
