Darkbrother Hood, worst DLC/Questing so far in my opinion ...

I just couldn't connect to it, the story is way too overrated with full of wannabes.

The Lore just make no sense, way too try hard on the "Everyone fear us, omg we are coolbrotherhood", 1 man army crap.

Those 2 nords quests, feel like 13 years old story before bed.

And worst of all, those Sacrament's quests, so bad really, it's not even near diifficult, just annoying, nothing else, even worst is the RNG after the exit timer start, why would I wait with a perfect stealthy kill because that 45 seconds unavoidable without waiting mob route to be in the right place?

If you want to make super big route, ok, but why also delay them standing still? either small patrol and waiting or big patrol and not waiting.

No where near as good as the Thieves Guild Heists where.

I just don't see how it fit the legendary lore of the game, everything in place, every map too, but this? its not even related to anything, just random bad story in the middle of no where.

I managed to push my way through the Thieves' Guild quest line.. the story really dropped off half way and the grind was.. eurgh.

Dark Brotherhood? Had it since release, yet only done 4-5 quests. It seems more interesting than Thieves' Guild but having to grind in order to do the quests is something I really can't be bothered with.

Orsinium was a great zone, good story and quests, the bosses were much better than typical world bosses, and there was no grinding involved! Where's the sudden need of having to grind in order to quest come from.. the grinding takes longer than the quests themselves.

The lore fits, just play through all the side quests and youll see how it connects to future dlc. The tg dlc was boring to me if you ask me

    I just find it so horrible, its just b o r i n g .

I fall asleep on the keyboard, as I said specially the sacrement, its just no sense boring, wait wait wait wait, each can take over 20 minutes if you fail.

I don't say don't make hard content, but this is not hard, this is brain teasing stupidity.

I think Orsinium was the worst DLC storywise. DB and TG had far superior characters.

TG I can agree, but DB?

There is nothing I hate more than overrated characters with super powers.

Specially those wannabe leaders, I can purge them from existence lore wise, and they act to me like I am infant.

Elitist is the best word I can find for them, and they are god damn npc's ...

Honestly this pretty much encapsulates my feelings on the Brotherhood throughout the series.

I felt like I had to grind to finish the dark brother hood quests. After every main story quest I had to run around tamriel doing those contracts, it took all the fun out of them because at that point it felt forced. I just wanted that costume.

So far, apart from Orsinium, I think the other 3 DLCs have been hit and miss for people.

IC - Tied into PvP, meaning the PvEers QQ that they are getting ganked and PvPer complain that the mobs there limit the fun of PvP. No real memorable characters and the quest line is meh.

TG - Too NB heavy. Sneak here, steal that, more sneaking. That grind.

DB - No new dungeons/trial added. The Purge, ESO edition, where everyone commits all the murder they could ever want. That grind, again.

The sheer size of Wrothgar is giving it an edge over all other DLC's, but DB is my 2nd favorite DLC.
Thieves guild quest line was more or less a weaker side quest with lots and lots of meaningless grind.
DB quest line felt a bit more polished with much more work put into character emotions, gestures and uniqueness which I think was really lacking in ESO. Leveling up DB also felt much less of a drag compared to thieves guild. However, DB is basically 10 short quests and that's it.

Overall, I think the new content released over the last year is lacking, but that's probably due to all the changes to the old content. Hope now that the champion system is fully implemented we'll see more new stuff.

I liked the story overall, but I didn't get attached to the characters like I did to the TG characters (except for Elam Drals).

The way we get to know and got close to the TG characters felt more natural than with the DB characters. TG characters and how their relationships with the player character developed were very believable in my opinion, same for Orsinium characters.

But I still liked the story. It feels a little incomplete, however. I think the devs said that there will be more stuff related to the Dark Brotherhood in the future, so maybe that's why. But I wish there were more quests with each of the DB characters like happened with the TG characters. Maybe then I would have gotten attached to them.

Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I think that all the DLCs really blow the original launch zones out of the water. Environment wise, character wise, and story wise. That being said I personally like DB more than TG. I also appreciate that ancient Roman mediterranean inspired environment of the Gold Coast. Also ZOS did a nice job with the minotaurs.

Edit: All that being said, I would prefer that future DLCs follow the Wrothgar formula with full large zones rather than the "guild" type DLCs of TG and DB.

Storywise Orsinium was the best from the DLCs imho. It was engaging and the best playthrough since Darien and Razum-Dar.

Completely agree. Still missing the last part of TG but I now find myself only doing the first part of DB for the blade of woe only.

I liked all the DLCs. The main quests were fun for me. I would like some of the daily heists / sacraments to be in different locations though. Instead of being underground we could go above ground to huge mansions like the very first thieves guild quest before you go into Hews Bane. Mixing those dailies up into new locations that seem different would be cool, I think. And I know there's other repeatable that are above ground, but they're all in places we've already visited and make us do stuff we could already do before the DLCs.

Also if the daily quests varied a bit more, like stealing from some mansion, or bank, or intercepting and robbing a caravan or ship... or something, instead of the same caves over and over again. DB could have you setting up traps or kidnapping or something, instead of always killing a target who walks around a cave. There's heaps of potential there and it could really be expanded on. Be more creative.

Did you ever play the DB quests in the previous Elder Scrolls games? Just started this DLC myself, but for a lot of us they call to mind the fun we had in the other games. The Dark Brotherhood quests were among the best quests in Oblivion and Skyrim.

So far the story seems interesting and I like that the quests send you all over the world, not just within one zone.

Didn't do any quests in Orsinium or Thieves Guild yet. Started this one primarily because I desperately need the Monk Disguise in order to enter the mages guild and start crafting writs without the guards killing me. (I already had very high bounty before DB, so the guards would kill me every time I tried to start crafting writs).

I have not completed any of the DLC storyline since ICP, iMO the questing in this game is very bad, it's all the same. The content, when it does get released is good. That and PVP is why I play.

It hasn't beaten Wrothgar for me though, I really loved that zone :).

Compared to Imperial City the DB is a great DLC

Compared to the others I would agree this is a step down.
    1) I am forced to play a psycho killer to play the DLC, not a smart assassin or a secret force for good a simple mindless killer of innocents.
    2) Because its 1 quest per rank I could go a week without getting to the next part of the story so often I had forgotten what it was I was meant to be doing or why.
    3) The NPC's are all over the top and the DB is made out to be the most powerful organisation around with an army of super soldiers
    4) Final quest was bugged to hell and a walk in the park battle was made impossible as I was frozen along with everyone else, no idea who came up with that game mechanic but it completely ruined the DLC for me.

TG questline was actually good and worth grinding the extra few levels to get the assistant reward.

DB is just terrible quest wise, and then you don't even get a really good unique reward like TG. The DB brought absolutely nothing new besides assassinating people which can be useful on quest bosses if you want to hurry.

I absolutely hated the fact that you couldn't progress in the TG questline without doing multiple dailies to level up the rank. That really killed it for me. I'm very sad to hear that DB is the same.

Orsinium was done right. I would rather they take more time to craft DLCs more like that one than throw a bunch of small mediocre ones at us.

I think Imperial City and Orsinium are the best DLC and worth the money.

I don't think DB or TG could be as open as Wrothgar because those DLC center on introducing new guilds. If someone didn't like DB to begin with and it was a huge DLC, they don't buy. Where as Wrothgar is tied to no guild, just a big zone and more of what the base game offers. If you like PvE and don't buy Orsinium, I'd question what that person is doing here.

    Wrothgar is Ok,

Dark Brotherhood and Thieves Guild should be woven into the normal main game and maps. And should not even be DLC. It's a conceptional mistake to separate them from the normal maps.

And there should be the Morag Tong in Morrowind

Imperial city does not even need to exist, for me as Solo player.

    Who is Darkbrother Hood? ^^
Seriously though, DB storylines has always been edgy, its just how this guild is designed. Some people like that, some dont, and that's perfectly fine. I personally dislike Skyrim mainquest and think its kinda silly, but some people (a lot actually) like to play as Dovakhhin.
I kinda agree about sacraments, but I have a different problem with them: targets are supposedly random and since it tends to pick certain names all the time, getting that "blackest sacrament" achievement is really annoying. I'd prefer if they had a fixed rotation, like pledges. As for being repetitive, any daily quest will end up like this eventually, when you repeat it many times...

P.S. And yeah, "Sweetroll Killer" is one of the best, if not the best quest in ESO. <3

orsim felt like a 'real' dlc. The new two feel like someone spent a weekend slapping together a bunch of random sh!t they had already done years ago, into a sorta-story, but FAR, FAR too short to count as a real DLC< so they made the user (IE you) have to 'grind' out levels just to 'reach' new levels for story.

Orsim felt like my.. moneys worth. Honestly, it felt like I was buying something TRULY worth it.

Neither thieves or DB felt like they were worth the price. Far from it actually, I (for the first time since I first started playing eso almost 2 years ago) feel 'cheated' - Even more so now that they have this NEW 'lackluster' DLC coming that will prob just be as 'cheap'

Maybe ESO is dead or coming close to its end? I sorta feel like the game has entered its 'end of life care phase' and its sitting in the old folks home. It does not feel like a vibrant, living, evolving game anymore.

Everything been down hill since Orsinium. Imperial City was great, Orsinium was amazing, Thieves guild was ok and Dark Brotherhood with all the game breaking bugs makes it the worst the only thing that makes this dlc decent is the Blade of Woe and the Sweetroll Killer quest and update 11 only bringing 2 more dungeons will probably make it the worst yet.

My hope is that a sparse update will allow for the development of an Orsinium quality DLC in Q4. Thieves guild and the Dark Brotherhood have been demanded since the start of the game, so ZOS was sort of obligated to add them in. Now the devs can hopefully focus on more relevant updates.
