I'm not trying to start a rant thread - I really want to know if something is wrong on my part. I used to play in Cyrodiil just fine when playing on PC but then I transferred my account to PS4 when it was offered, however I haven't spent time in Cyrodiil except for about a month after PS4 launch. That first month on PS4 was fine, but then I took a long break from the game and am now returning. Now a year later I am literally getting about 5 frames per second throughout almost any combat situation, along with usually several second delays when attempting to use ability or swap weapons. There are also random brief loading screens out of nowhere. The only thing that seems to remain the same since launch is the number of crashes. I have been experiencing these same issues while in populated towns - especially more frequent random loading screens, and that also didn't occur in the weeks after PS4 launch.
I'd like to know if my description fits the experience of everyone else. The situation doesn't make sense to me. Games are supposed to become more optimized and perform better with each patch, yet ESO seems to have gotten worse. I've already tried replacing my PS4 disk drive with an SSD, and reformed it a second time too. Tried database rebuild a few times. I've monitored the game network traffic and found little packet loss or round trip response time spikes. Can anything be done?
End the tedious inventory management game.
