It's been awhile since I learned all 3 of these, but weren't they like extremely cheap at the traders?

I mean hey, apparently people are just sitting on fat stax of crowns and don't want to spend them on stuff you can't obtain with gold/grinding. More power to them, I guess?

That's so great for them
I've noticed everything in the Crown Store is getting rather expensive. The 1500 crowns a month with ESO plus only gets you so far if you want anything at all now. It's not just saving for that one mount or limited time costume - you're saving for everything. Hence why people cave and buy crowns instead. Sadly I can't afford to spend £71 today

Oh no, I hear you entirely. I bought a 5500 pack so I would have enough for the stuff cycling out this month that I wanted in addition to the Breton hero costume, even though my sub renews this month.. which I guess is exactly what ZOS wanted. Gah, I really hope they're not retiring stock every month.
For convenience stuff like this, though, I'd really rather just buy it with gold or grind it out. I wonder what the demographic of people who buy crown motifs are like. In the end it's their money so I'm not judging, but curiosity, y'know?

Lazy people with lots of disposable income that want everything RIGHT NOW, and lazy kids who are either spending their parents money, or don't know how dangerous credit card debt can be.

Or hard working people who can afford them and want to save their gold for gear and other things.

Exactly. I hate the lazy label for this. If I was very weathly and had a good amount of disposable income, I'd probably buy the motifs too. Why not? It isn't like they are challenging to get you can buy them for gold. I'd rather spend time in game doing the things I want to do, not motif or gold farming.

I agree wholeheartedly. However, I would hazard a guess at the majority of players not being as wealthy
