It's just my teammate and myself and the game is lagging like we're in a crowd of other players.

it's probably small incremental adjustments to the game code to help line it up with the next update. in addition to some minor fixes.2 -

✭✭Usual scheduled maintenance is about things like the server hardware, operating system or building maintenance, not usually involving any changes to the game itself. If this maintenance improves any performance related issues, it is usually because rebooting the hardware or restarting a program cleared up something that was not working as it should.
Game changes and fixes are usually referred to as 'Patch maintenance' instead of just 'maintenance' and usually have some patch notes in the patch notes section of the forum once the maintenance is completed.Australian on PS4 NA server.

Post your specs, AMD cpus even top market are unable to play this game at full performance... even high end intel cpus with the best core performance has fundamental lag (just minimized as much as possible) due to the game.

This is in no way true. There's no difference whatsoever between AMD CPU performance in this game and Intel CPU performance. It's an ONLINE game. Your primary factor for poor performance is and always will be your ability to maintain a solid connection to the server. You could be running a potato PC and still outperform your network connection.0 -
