Did you move from your original faction?

Or did you stay with the one you started?
I am a person that is very much fond of magical snow, fog, and tons of forests <3... so I thought I would start somewhere in EP, however, not having the adventurers pack yet, I started in AD because I loved how the elves looked, plus they seemed like the best bet for the magician style of character that I had in mind.

I love AD, the people are nice, the scenery is beautiful, the sunset in Auridon is something I always miss as I go away, however sometimes I still wonder what would it be like to be part of another faction.
I didnt change factions because I already see many familiar names and going away would feel like I am "betraying" my faction since I also pvp a lot, and starting anew is kind of scary.

So I wonder about you: did you remain in the faction you chose at the beginning? Did you move? Do you have characters in each faction? Please explain why did you choose your faction, stayed, moved etc. ^___^!

Once AD, always AD. From a PvE gameplay progression perspective the order in which I visit each side's zones feels right. Auridon feels like a true beginner's zone and Stonefalls a more advanced one what with all the lava and then Glenumbra has this revisited feel to it.

I do however have alts for the other factions so I can do everything lol

First toon was in DC, but then I had the idea to make an Altmer healer, so I did, and she was in AD.

I have 2 characters in DC, and 2 in EP, and 5 in AD. I consider myself an AD player because I moved factions when I was an early player.

I have a little bit in each faction, as a solo player it all goes around based on which Gold zones has the best farm sites overall. EP wins out on that category having the most anchors near wayshrines, some decent grind spots, and many treasure chest clustered areas. AD gets the worst Gold zones with the most out of the way anchors from wayshrines, some of the hardest to reach areas like in Glenumbra, Stormhaven, and Bankorai. DC is in the middle, its good farming not terribly bad or great.

I started in Ebon during original beta. There were so many people EP in the beta, I went DC at pre launch. I heard stories about AD being much more pact with players. I couldn't even imagine how crowded that was. Never had a reason to switch since.

Yes I remained in my first faction.
I sorta did, sorta didn't. I'm voting that I remained on my first faction because the Dominion was my first and only faction on the live servers.

At first, I wanted to have my main character in the Pact, a couple of them in the Covenant and another in the Dominion, but I ended up deciding against it. The reason I picked Dominion on live was because I had some pretty bad experiences in the other two factions during the betas. I know it is unfair with the live population of the Pact and the Covenant, I imagine that the people who gave me a bad time didn't even stay after the beta tests ended (I really don't have anything against the other factions nowadays, otherwise I would leave the game because of the release of One Tamriel, but I am actually excited for it), but I ended up sticking with the only faction that had people who were nice to me and where I made friends on beta. Under such circumstances, it was incredibly easy to develop faction pride and make all of my ten characters in the Dominion.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I've stayed in AD because I mostly pvp and going through the good times and the bad is part of the fun. I wouldn't cut and run to another alliance just to be on the bigger zerg side. I wouldn't have chosen AD at the start but it's where my guild decided to go based on the alliance we were in from our previous game. Those traitors jumped to EP. We stayed.

There are some guilds that hop around and like to brag about how they won the campaign for whatever alliance, though.

I do have low level alts in each alliance.

    I am in multiple factions.
I started with a character in each Alliance because back in the dark ages of Early Access, it wasn't obvious to us that we'd get to play through each Alliance's story any other way. There were mumblings about some sort of Cadwell's storyline but no one knew how it worked. Certainly I was surprised when I discovered there was a set order of rotation AD --> EP --> DC --> AD rather than free access to any zone after finishing Coldharbour.

So yeah, I have three Level 50s, one in each Alliance, and three level 20-40s, one in each Alliance.

During beta, I tried all the factions, but when I logged in the first time at pre-launch, I made a DC character and I still play her today. If fact, even after going through silver and gold, I have never made a character in another faction that I have kept. All 12 of my characters are DC.

I'm only concerned with PvE, and wanted to do all the content with a character of the appropriate faction rather than through Cadwells, and that together with my altoholism (which is infectious in that it's spread to a second account) means that I have multiple characters in all three factions.

When the game first released I started a character in the EP and really disliked Stonefalls, really disliked the game to be honest but the area I had to explore just felt uninspired and not worth exploring so I gave up on the game. A few months ago I think I watched Peon's worth a play video and decided to give it another go and figured I'd start a new on DC, really glad I did as I'm well over 300 hours now with this character but I'm tempted to start a new one on AD now. I liked Auridon and Grahtwood during silver and might just start a new character to take through these areas and the next properly.

I can't stand the Elves whatsoever and the Covenant zones just feel tiring. The Pact zones are the same way except for Skyrim which is always fun to walk around in, so I've stayed with them through my four characters. Kind of weird, a Khajiit becoming a Hero of the Pact but I love my kitties and I sympathize with the Nords and Argonians.

I love AD, but I actually prefer the play in DC and the landscape and adventuring.

Fortunately I have at least 2 characters in each faction so I can get some variety.

I may have the adventurers pack and could play any race in any faction, but, for some reason, I usually stick with the racial faction assigned to.
