Found a mundus stone

I'm new to this game so this is probably a noob question. Recently I just found a mundus stone and I don't know what it is. Is it a good thing or bad? What is a mundua stone and is it useful?

I suggest googling ESO mundus stones to see what all is in game.

Usually dps use the their for crit chance and all our gear has divine traits to increase the bonus from the mundus.
