Wanted to hear some option/opinions on different gearsetup for my templar (magicka, Breton). So there are a few scenarios:
1. Dps in PvE
2. Healer in PvE
3. PvP (Looking for 2 kinds of builds here. One of them includes Malubeth set ( a more tanky pvp setup) but not sure what other set/gear I shall use. And a more dps kinda setup
4. vMSA

I know the tanky one with Malubeth isn´t exactly optional (due to low health), but still want to try it out. Love to hear what you have to say

    PVE DPS:

    Bar 1: Destruction Staff:
    1. Dark Flare
    2. Wall of Elements
    3. Radiant Destruction
    4. Repentance
    5. Blazing Shards
    U. Meteor
    Bar 2: Dual Wield:
    1. Breath of Life
    2. Puncturing Sweeps
    3. Reflective Light
    4. Annulment
    5. Ritual of Retribution
    U. Nova
    Gear: 2 Piece Skoria + 5 Piece Julianos + 3 Willpower + Maelstrom DestroStaff + 2 Torug's Pact Swords.
It focuses on heavy damage over time, alongside defense and deals mostly melee-range damage.

    PVE Healer:
    Bar 1: Restoration Staff:
    1. Rapid Regeneration
    2. Healing Springs
    3. Radiant Destruction
    4. Repentance
    5. Blazing Shards
    U. Barrier/War Horn
    Bar 2: Dual Wield:
    1. Breath of Life
    2. Puncturing Sweeps
    3. Reflective Light
    4. Annulment
    5. Ritual of Retribution
    U. Nova
Gear: 5 Piece Julianos (for spell power)/5 Piece Seducer (for sustain)/ 5 Piece Spell Power Cure (recommended) + 3 Willpower + Maelstrom RestoStaff + assorted gear and/or favorite monster set.
Notice how it looks very similar to the DPS setup. You'll pull very similar numbers...
(notice: carry a destruction staff on hand for certain bosses)

    VMA:
    Bar 1: Restoration Staff:
    1. Annulment
    2. Healing Ward
    3. Radiant Destruction
    4. Repentance
    5. Ritual of Retribution
    U. Barrier
    Bar 2: Destruction Staff
    1. Crushing Shock (switch for favorite ability if you don't need interrupt
    2. Puncturing Sweeps
    3. Reflective Light
    4. Wall of Elements
    5. Structured Entropy
    U. Meteor
Gear: 5 Piece Julianos + 2 Piece Skoria + 3 Piece Willpower + Maelstrom Destro & Resto staves.
Note the heavy defense and DPS, and how you ditch Breath of Life for Healing Ward because you're only healing yourself.

These are solid builds that will enable you to tackle all of the content in the game, minus trials, where you'll be setting up pure DPS/pure healing builds.

Don't worry if you don't have VMA staves yet. Just take what staves you have.

I didn't really get into PVP that much. It is necessary to PVP to both improve your skill level, and to unlock PVP abilities.

In PVP, you're going to rely a lot on CC. Aurora Javelin is going to be the bane of a potential assaliant. Dark Flare is still an incredibly strong tool. Don't forget about Rapid Regen and Healing Springs, as they will help a ton with providing you AP. When you unlock War Horn, it also makes for great AP gains.

As for the Undaunted Passives, if you want them, take them, as that is a potential 4% extra stats with all 3 armor types. Of course, if you don't want them, and you'd rather take your 2%, alongside bonus regen and cost reduction, that also works.

PvE-set up for DPS: Decide if you wanna be melee or ranged. I've seen people pull 30k+ DPS in trials spamming Dark Flares only. And I've seen people dothe same from spamming Jabs. I suggest looking for guides online. They usually got a video, explaining their rotation aswell. I honestly think you should look up guides, find the one YOU LIKE and go with it. It won't matter if w egive you a build, if you don't like it :)

Note: If you're using Blazing shards & reflective light, you can animation cancel those two abilities & save 1second of dps. Which will boost your dps in the end. (They're also the easiest abilities to anim. cancel)

Healing: I've done the first two bosses of vMoL & Veteran SO with the current setup: This will also be your main healing-bar.
    Restoration Staff:
    1) Healing springs^
    2) Mutagen
    3) Siphon Spirit(Yes, the DPS in your group IS gonna need that mgicka-return)
    4) Harness Magicka(Resources ftw).
    5) Magicka balls from Undaunted skill-line
    U: Aggressive Warhorn

Dual Wield:(You need to coordinate with your other healer in trials to see who uses what. If the other healer is using Destruction staff's Elem. drain it's all good. But for dungen-healing, you don't really need anything else than dual wield anyway).
    1) BoL
    2) Channeled Focus
    3) Extended Ritual(cus I'm also in PvP and cba respeccing every day)
    4) Radiant Destruction(Cus easy deeps, and some of the bosses are bugged so that even fi they got a shield up, radiant works on'm)
    5) Repentance.
PvP: I'm running a low-budget PvPbuild currently, and it works wonders. I got PvP-videos duo-ing with a friend that shows how strong the build is, even though it's suboptimal. So yes even if you're just starting out in PvP, this is a fairly cheap build, seeing as most of the stuff you need can be farmed easily in IC.

5 purple(lol) Kag's. Heavy Chest: Reinforced, Heavy Greaves: Reinforced. Heavy Shoes: Reinf. Light Sash: Impen, Medium Gloves: Impen.
1x Heavy Malubeth shoulder: Impen, 1x Heavy Malubeth helm: Well-fitted(Want impen ;___;).
3x Willpower jewellery: Arcane- all with spell damage enchants. (I swap them out for my Recovery/2x reduced cost in larger groups 4-5+ people).
2x Sharpened Torug's Sword: Sharpened for Dual Wield(Swapping out for either resto[if healing springs are needed] or Sword & Board in larger groups).
1x Defending Torug's Pact Sword & Torug's pact Reinforced (should get impen-.-) shield.

I''m using Food: Max health + stamina + magicka - in a smaller/medium-sized group. Max Health + Mag recovery if I want to kill things :w:

CP: NOTE: It's most likely suboptimal. And I plan on changing it soon, will go for a more even numbers between HArdy/Elem def. & Elem. Expert/Thaumaturge. And the 1 point is just because, well, 1% is worth more than the 0,2%.
    100 Magician
    1 Warlord
    1 Sprinter
    1 Bashing Focus
    50 Arcanist
    1 Mooncalf
    1 Healthy
    10 Tumbling
    1 Shadow Ward
    1 Shade
    --
    1 Blessed
    18 Elfborn
    100 Elemental Expert
    1 Spell Erosion
    1 Shattering Blows
    46 Thaumaturge
    --
    1 Ironclad
    1 Spell Shield
    22 Resistant
87 Hardy(Might change to more into Elem Def soon…)
    43 Elemental Defender
    1 Bastion
    1 Heavy Armour Focus
    10 Quick Recovery

Very good advice for ANY build. You should get to the point where you make your own build that you like, and you'll become very effective with it.
