I haven't even tried it yet but am thinking about giving it a go. I have good gear and am cp201. just wondering if I will able to get it completed or will I be just wasting my time?

Did you complete the normal version ? It's not as hard but still gives a good idea of what to expect.

You could start by trying the Maelstrom Arena in normal mode. That way, you would at least get to know the mechanics and the surroundings/enemies so that you can prepare and optimize your build/skills for the veteran run. Just never give up and keep going :)

Vet mechs are different though. Such as the round 7 Berserk you don't interrupt on vet as it turns instakill and the last boss channel is instakill where as on normal you can laugh it off.

I'd make one piece from the nmg light for the undaunted passive(I'd change the waist), your armor should do purple but the weapons should be yellow. I'm assuming it's all cp 160. What are your stats, health, stam, crit etc....

As for the class, I've not played it on a nb so I can't help you with that. I believe a stamina nb is supposed to be one if the easier stamina classes but I can't say for sure.

Some people will probably never complete it, you have to be on your A game and be a very good player to stand a chance, and know the mechanics etc.

    Yeah try normal first.

I personally never did the normal MSA and did vMSA at like CP300 with purple gear

if you have gold gear and a good class + a youtuber who provides a good basis of tactic then i think you can do it

my class isnt a direct copy of anyone else's its just catered to how I play and i think you should do the same

*Btw i died over and over the first time but the second was A LOT easier and its getting better and better the more times you do it

    Just so you are prepared:
The very first run will mean death. A lot of deaths. Up to hundreds of deaths depending on how good or bad you are at adapting to mechanics and stuff. It gets better the more often you do it though.
Plus there is a saving function which we didn't have when vMSA got released. So you've got that going for you.

I think vMA is way easier then some people make it out to be. You have to be very good to get a decent high score, but just for completion I think the difficulty is overrated. It leans more to the mechanic learning side than the dps/ equipment. The problem is as always, that it is easier to learn the mechanics if you are not dying as much :), however there are a lot of good resources (yt, guides.. etc) on the mechanics.

From what I see, you are equipped for max dmg but keep in mind that you have long dragged out fights in the arena and you also want sustain. Going for max dmg, imho makes more sense if you know exactly which targets to prioritize as well as having learned their spawn points.

I second the advice to try normal first!

Keep in mind that you can 'save' vMA. (since db or tg) When you are exhausted and need a break, just leave and try another day. Just never abandon the quest! (This way of course you can't get on the leaderboard, but that's not gonna happen without much practice anyway. ) When you enter vMA again, you can pick up where you left.

Keep in mind that a lot of posted builds are for high scores, so they are build with not using sigils in mind (as using them will lower your score). There is no need for you to care about this.

Edit: And of course post your results :)

Yup over and over until you get it. Right now I had to walk away because I keep getting the beat down with the stupid stranglers and the Queen spitting down on me! RNG is a pain at times.

I'm in same boat, trying to figure out best build and when/if I'll ever be ready. Finished normal mode without much problem, and with vastly inferior gear and less CP than currently, but there's a lot of hate for a stam sorc in heavy armour... So probably wont even bother lol.

    Goodluck
