And it would be so easy to see how good hairstyles can be done - Second Life has a whole lot of very talented hairstylists for virtual world hairstyles - tens of thousands of different styles for all purposes from the top brands alone. And if ZOS cannot do it on their own, they could ask one of those to create a hairstyle line for them - of course they would have to toss out a reasonable amount of money, but they would get qualíty. It took these developers as well quite some time, to develop their ability to create top hair styles and make their business into a top brand - doing hairstyles right is not done by someone, who has never really done this before nor had to stand their ground and succeed against massive concurrence - those top brands in Second Life had to stand their ground and came out on top - there is the source for designers, who can actually do the job.

Or just outsource the job to Skyrim modders.

I understand that part of the reason they don't give us the hair we'd really like to have is because animating it and rendering it for all those characters might contribute to the whole game lagging out worse than Cyrodiil with all those huge zerg balls. I get that this is an actual consideration in addition to the clipping issues that would arise anywhere the hair might touch the body. But there's really no reason they can't give us hair swept back from the face that just falls down the back as the couple "long" hairstyles we have now do. There are just so many BETTER hairstyles they could have gone with, even with the limitations imposed "because MMO" that I am utterly baffled by the choices we've been given.
Greetings everyone,
We were all expecting this barbershop with impatience! Very soon, a lot of new styles will be available for our enjoyment! New haircuts (beard, adornments, makeup, eyelashes etc) will be sold in the Crown Store. Once purchased, they are available through the collection tab, and can be equipped at will, exactly like a costume, a personality or a hat!
It will not be needed to purchase a Appearance Coupon to change hairstyle. However, you will need one if you want to change haircolor!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdnyM6DTSSA

I would have liked them to just add all this stuff to the "character creation section" that you get and then you just pay to access this again to change your character. Anytime you felt you really needed to change how your character looks you could then pay to go back to the character creation again.
