I was a bit afraid they'd introduce some useless merchants selling the same useless gear as in alliance bases, but this exceeds my wildest expectations.

We were asking for more build diversity, and with all the scaled up sets we have plus the new ones plus the crafted ones AND all the extra pieces, any lack of diversity is going to be one of player imaginations.

This is an interesting change and I'm excited to play around with the new sets, but what's the incentive to keep people coming back to the cities in a month or two when everybody has already bought all the gear they want? Perhaps they could list consumables for sale there as well like Coldfire siege?

Basically any set to can buy at the current elite vendor in the bags; you can now get at one of the towns for 50k per bag; it is random though but they are purple.

I was able to get an afflicted ring for example

I tested some more; basically from what I can tell

Medium armor vendors = robust on all jewelry
Heavy armor vendors = health
Light armor = magicka

Traits are random on every other piece

You can get morag tong jewelry now though with stamina and purple

I've been doing some testing and opened tons of boxes, and this is exactly what I was wishing for the whoooole time.
As for theorycrafting, we now have
- Old sets reintroduced with some changed values (up to date mostly -> not useless anymore)
- Old sets coming with endless new options (access to weapons, jewelry and slots where we didnt have any of that before)
- New Monster Sets
- New Sets from mentioned dungeons which are VERY interesting themselves already

So many new possible builds.
I dont even know where to start, this Update sounds like the paradise to me, offering so many more options than the "real DLC's" (TG/DB etc.)

On a sad note - there is almost zero protection of flags by npc.
Good note - tthere was addae textures and barricades in cities so it will be much more funnier to fight there unlike before when it was just huge areas of open fields.

Yep, it is sets paradise, endless options of customize. Even without any class skill changes this dlc will be amazing.

It's all fine and dandy till you realize all the armor pieces do not have impen in the loot system.


I also spent 10 million AP on elf bane boxes, only to be bombarded with prosperous armor pieces, jewelry, 1 powered sword and 2 training ones, and not a single shield.

Hopefully the town guards will get buffed and capture will be trickier. As for towns being swarmed, they are meant to help people spread out by being capturable. Perhaps once they get data back on these three about what does/doesn't work, they will make the others capturable as well, perhaps with different benefits/loot. I feel bad for those who need the quests, though. At least those folks will know when their Alliance owns the quest hub they need and might get some protection from people guarding it/buying gear.

[Now they need to add in mobile flags as well to really help spread out objectives. Give the mobile flags value in the war somehow beyond xp/gold for their capture/defense, a temporary buff maybe. Like if one type of NPC escort gives buff to siege, another to siege defense, and so on.]

Ravager rings/amulets from epic bag in towns have a hitpoint bonus and not stamina. I hope they will change that.
