Do you want gear level cap increase next update?

It's been 4 DLCs max level gear doesn't change (only converted from vet 16 - CP 160). Yeah, yeah... I know, some people will cry about the grind they have to do to replace all the gears, but... IT'S BEEN A YEAR! I haven't bother to run pledge for a long time. New motifs but no reason to craft new gear.

However, they just update SO to v160, and might have to balance the trial again if players have more powerful gear. Also I think they are almost done with the 2 new dungeons, and re-balance them will take time too. One Tamriel is coming, probably at the end of this year, with everything scaled, maybe a good time for re-balancing and increase gear level.

So what do you think? Do you want gear level cap increase next update? Or wait till One Tamriel at the end of this year? Or later?

At first I wanted a gear cap increase but after some thought I hope they don't anytime soon but they need to increase that CP cap next update or I'm taking a break from the game till they raise it Ill only be stuck at 501 for so long I hate getting CP that I can't spend its getting on my nerves

We just removed Vet ranks. People are leveling up alts and using lots of their stored sets. CP180 and CP200 needs to wait some more imo.

Just splashed out too much on new sets like Vipers, elegant and ground out too long for ophidian and infallible etc so no. It's be obsolete or require the same grind 2 months down the line...nay to raising it just yet.

Why do people feel they have to apply the derogatory 'cry' to anyone who disagrees with them? It's painfully tedious to see this meaningless cliché continually trotted out.

Am I to assume that if you don't get what you want you will be crying? Are you 'crying' for a change right now?

Don't change the current gear levels. Create additional gear at higher levels. New materials for CP160 - CP180, and CP180 - CP200, plus a few new dropped/awarded sets for those new levels.

Someone being touchy here. It's just a way of words, grow some skin. I'm asking a question, not setting a flame. I did give out the reason I think for both "yes" and "no" choices, but I didn't see yours.

Certainly wouldn't mind staying at CP160 / CP501 max for a few more years, but this is how the progression works.

Based on the previous announcements, I imagine both CP cap and gear cap will increase by around 50 CP or so with Update 11.

I don't think you understand what this mean. This is an MMORPG, not a MOBA. There need to be some kind of process or sooner or later, people will lose their interest. As I said, I don't even bother to run dungeons anymore. Many people taking a break (who knows if they're coming back) because there is nothing to do anymore. This, in the long term, is not good for the game.

People will quit if we need to upgrade gear. Have you seen the price of legendary materials? How about the people who have been grinding dungeons hundreds of times and are almost close to completing a set. If gear level goes up again, I guarantee they're going to kill themselves...or someone at least. Last time we went from v14 to v16, people were outraged. Plus, like they've said, this game is advertised for casuals who play the game for a week or two and take a break until the next dlc drops.

They should take the CP cap up to like 620 or something, so that we actually have something to do while doing all those new dungeons, trying to get good scores on Weekly Trials etc.

BTW what the guys in ESO said about increasing the CP cap by 51 is ***. I mean you get those CP in like a week if you take your time !

But then again the lower the CP cap is the better.

I'm all for CP spend cap increase. Since vet ranks were just removed a month ago, leave the gear level at 160 for now. Gear level should increase every year, CP cap should increase every 6 months

I'm all for seeing more gear sets and ways to diversify our characters - on the current gear level. I certainly do not want to have to pray to the RNG divines for the right item in the right weight with the right trait again anytime soon.

Zero desire and I mean Zero desire to regear the toons I just geared due to the VR removal.

I would be give from this game in less then a second if they threw down a gear increase even with 6 months of VR removal.

Especially since they can raise the CP cap independent of gear for progression.

If they increase CP and gear--the former of which we know is coming in the next patch--they will destroy whatever balance remains in the game.

I'd say that they would never do something so daft, but then...Well, you know. History speaks for itself.

I personally don't think we ever need a gear cap increase. It obsoletes all the effort put into farming the gear we currently have and there are plenty of other ways to advance a character that don't include me trashing hundreds of items and regearing 12 toons on a whim of the developers. Also, ZoS has traditionally been HORRIBLE at cap increases, taking 2+ years to bring the rest of the game up to that increase. We are just now getting the old trials increased to the current gear cap. Vet dungeon loot (not helm/shoulder) is STILL cp140. I have zero faith that they can handle a gear cap increase properly in the next 5 years to be honest. I hope they keep their hands off that until they are fully prepared to do it properly and completely.

Every set in the game should just drop at level 50, CP / Vet ranks should bot be involved.

Well, as a CP cap increase is confirmed, it would make no sense to not have gear at an increase level, such as CP 200.

A gear cap increase would make Maelstrom weapons obsolete and introduce new, better weapon choices. Having run the arena over 200 times without any of the weapon drops I'm looking for and having quit the game for this very reason, a cap increase might give me an incentive to install ESO and subscribe again.

Either wait on a gear cap increase, or implement some type of token system for upgrading existing gear to v16. Like the etheric light system in destiny for Y1 gear.

This is the most sensible progression path I've seen mentioned on here.

Well, it's been a year since the last gear cap increase (all V16 gears were converted to CP160 so nothing changed). If they increase it with One Tamriel, it will be almost a year and a half. And if they wait till next year it will be a year and 3 quaters.

I'm so glad I don't depend on top end gear . Purple at best , gold on weapons only .
