Limenauruus is Unbalanced and Overly Powerful

Fighting Limenauruus was never really a problem for me. Usually I would just stick behind him with my flanking set and wail on him with wrecking blow until my stamina bar was gone, until a big group wandered into the room.

First off, when there are basically a thousand AoE's going off at the same time, it makes the game lag a bit. Just a little, teeny tiny bit. Okay, it's a lot. It lags a lot. And I'm on PS4, its not my PC specs or anything that are causing the problem, its just that the PS4 cannot handle all of those particles going off at once, and when it lags, well, I die without even knowing what killed me.

Second off, when it lags, it tends to, well, turn the red circles of Limenauruus' AoE's into absolutely nothing. No indicator or anything. One minute I'll be full health, and then the next minute, I'm dead after being one shot by an invisible shadow pool that deals 18k damage?! Are you kidding me?

Third off, the damage. Obviously. I get that he's a world boss and he's meant to be taken on by a big group of people, but he's honestly tougher with a group of 10 people than 5, because its impossible to see where his AoE's are dropping otherwise. And they stack. The AoE's stack. Why do they stack? Who knows. Got rubble falling on your head? Oh, infinite stunlock because you're out of stamina, eh? Well here's another rubble fall. Dead. You're dead. He's way harder to fight melee than he is as an archer, or a sorcerer.

Fourth off, why the artificial difficulty? Half the time I die, I die to the two dozen shadows that spawn into the arena. When there are healers in my group, I still die, because when 5 people are shooting arrows and spells at you all at once that deal 3k damage a piece, well, you're dead pretty quick.Unless you take all focus off the boss when you're only fighting alongside 3 or 4 other players, you're going to die to the shadows. And, well, when you take focus off the boss, he's more than likely to charge at you out of nowhere because he loses taunt when he goes to charge.

And last off, although rare, sometimes, just sometimes, he freezes mid-charge. The red circle remains however, and walking anywhere within it will cause the damage from his onslaught to stack on you multiple time, basically killing you from him just standing there.
And so, Akatosh revealed himself to a young Gaben, and granted him purpose.
"Grant them Steam sales," he commanded.
And obey, he did.

Agreed, when it was only 3-10 people I never died, but as the number went higher over 10, my deaths became more and more often, even with more healers. The lag is the cause of death, no chances to dodge, no chance to use potions, can't even block... Fine at 35k health one moment, lag hits, screen freezes/stuff jumps/jerks all over the place, then dead and reviving...

@SirGabenOfSteamia: Fighting Limenauruus was never really a problem for me. Usually I would just stick behind him with my flanking set and wail on him with wrecking blow until my stamina bar was gone, until a big group wandered into the room.

"First off, when there are basically a thousand AoE's going off at the same time, it makes the game lag a bit. Just a little, teeny tiny bit. Okay, it's a lot. It lags a lot. @Alpha-Lupi: Fighting Limenaruus can be quite challenging, that I can admit, but from what I can see here, because ESOTU is an online only game (since it is a MMORPG hosted on 2 different megaservers.) it mostly depends on internet for quality/lag control in some way, as well as how much it can handle(some parts of this you may have covered already in your question) there are some instances where Limenaruus will summon minions to help take you down & some of those minions can use AOE attacks & seeing as how there may be multiple players in the same area helping you defeat the boss that could escalate your possible lag problem as the combination of the boss, players, minions, etc could be a possible answer to the lag issue.

@SirGabenOfSteamia: "Second off, when it lags, it tends to, well, turn the red circles of Limenauruus' AoE's into absolutely nothing. No indicator or anything. @Alpha-Lupi: With this one, you may have to check the network statistics or check in with your local service provider for more details.

@SirGabenOfSteamia: "Third off, the damage. Obviously. @Alpha-Lupi: now this I can cover, with the fact that I earned the title "Bane of the Gold Coast" defeating Limenaruus was part of it. getting back to the topic at hand now: using a heavy attack with one-hand & shield, Dual wielding, bows & two handed weapons(Great swords, Mauls & Battle axes) restore Stamina which can be more effective with one of the skills outlined in the Lover Constellation of the champion tree but a way to describe this is to constantly have lots of stamina for this particular world boss battle, think of it as fighting a more powerful version of the Argonian Abomination in the maelstrom arena, without stamina, your basically trampled by Limenaruus unless you use a few skills that promotes stamina recovery to cover the CC immunities necessary for the occasion.
I know because I happen to be a Heavy Dragon Knight Built for stamina use combined with that of the Serpent Stone Boon for increased Combat Stamina Recovery.

@SirGabenOfSteamia: "Fourth off, why the artificial difficulty? Half the time I die, I die to the two dozen shadows that spawn into the arena. @Alpha-Lupi: now here is where you may need to rethink your strategy, if you are a dragon knight or at least wearing heavy armour, then just focus on the boss. But if not, then know that if the boss spawns minions, you will want to focus your power on defeating the ADs whilst the others keep the boss from killing you directly, you will also need to remember to stay constantly moving to survive a bit better, lest the debree coming off the ceiling crushes your character like a pancake.

@SirGabenOfSteamia: "And last off, although rare, sometimes, just sometimes, he freezes mid-charge. The red circle remains however, and walking anywhere within it will cause the damage from his onslaught to stack on you multiple time, basically killing you from him just standing there."

@Alpha-Lupi: there is a "few" choices here, you can stay away from the AOE if Limenaruus freezes, or you can do something about it by putting up a petition for ZOS to see, asking them for a few possible fixes to improve game stability and possibly create Smoother gameplay so that it does not cause too much lag for you & your PS4 console.(I may be an Xbox One player but I know my stuff pretty well since gaming is like a half-life to me in some way.)

Final notes from @Alpha-Lupi: I did notice though that the game itself rarely sometimes crashes not Just on my Xbox One but possibly on other consoles, that I can put up with but ZOS will have to put in a stability fix to help prevent this UI outbreak because some people may think. "I am finally going to defeat some Powerful boss in this general area(like the Maw, trial instances, etc)" and then suddenly BAM, Your game crashes while the boss is at low health & you miss out on possible loot & other goodies & then that player gets cranky and decides that ESOTU is not even worth the hassle & not as fun as it used to be... (you see where I am going with this?) either way, they need to look into it or there may not be as many players as ZOS intended.

If you see me anywhere. Know that I am sitting back with a bag of popcorn, watching as ESO burns the goodwill of its player base with practices that only disrespects the players time like it did to me and many others...

If a game does not respect your time, best thing to do is move on from it and find something else.

Inside of a few weeks you will be standing around for anywhere from 30 min to several hours waiting for just one more competent person to show up so you can complete the quest.

I wish upwards of 2 hours for just one person to show up to Zoolander the Reborn in Wrothgar because I'm still fishing for Briarheart pieces and CP 160 weapons which I have yet to see for myself.

I love an hate world bosses just for this reason.
