Question regarding name changes and crafted items [ZOS PLEASE ANSWER]

I know the chance of this happening is slim, but I have to know.

If I change my character's name, does the name slapped onto the items to show which character has crafted them also change to match?

Example:

Character is named Bob.

Bob crafts sword.

Sword says "crafted by Bob".

Bob changes his name to Dave.

Would the sword still say "crafted by Bob", or would it change to "crafted by Dave"?

If this is not currently planned, would it be at all possible to implement?

EDIT: You DEFINITELY have a way of checking to see if an item was crafted by ones own character, due to the achievement which requires you to apply a legendary glyph you've crafted to a legendary item you've crafted. Maybe you can use that in the name changing process to change the name on all self-crafted items in a character's inventory (also in the bank or on other characters or even players if possible) upon changing their name.

In the event this won't work on items in the bank or on other characters, maybe you could make it so that if a character regains a self-crafted item post name change, an option appears in the list with "destroy", "enchant", "repair", etc. which allows them to change the name to their current one.

Even if it has issues and the name doesn't change if someone else has said item aside from knowing exactly who made it nothing will really change.

I know, I'm mainly concerned about the items I crafted for myself. If I change my name, I don't want the stuff I've already made (since I've already crafted my endgame gear) to still have my old name on it. I have slight OCD, and in the event this wasn't implemented along with the name change feature it would compel me to recraft everything with the new name.

Besides, as I mentioned in the edit, it's definitely feasible for them to implement this, I just want to know from them whether or not they're going to do it.

Why not just stick to your original name?

    Problem solved.

Original name sucks though, why do you think I want to change it?

Currently, if you change the name of a character, the name does not change on items created by that character. I am sorry that is all the information I have.

I assumed because you didn't like it, but you specifically stated you had OCD issues with the consequences of changing your name, therefore the obvious solution is to carry on as you have been doing thus far. It's just a question of balance, however, which is the bigger issue for you, the existing name or the consequences of changing it? Only you can determine that, but the likelihood is that original items crafted under the old name will retain that name as I can only assume that it would be more troublesome for the developers to change all affected items than it would be worth.

This would never be an issue for me, but as it is for you maybe it would help to think of it like this.

If you are an artist and you change your name you will of course sign any new creations with your new signature. You would not go back to your earlier creations though and replace signatures. And who knows, when you become famous maybe the works with your old signature will be worth more as they are the more rare pieces? So just look at the stuff with your old name as vintage or something.

I fail to see why this is something important.

Would you be able to ask around to see if it would be possible to implement this when name changes become available to all players in update 11?

I mean, it's already possible for the game to tell which item has been created by which character, and it doesn't sound like it would be too difficult.

Why do we need to know who crafted items in the first place? wouldn't it just be easier to remove the name of the crafter on the items entirely?

I think I heard someone griping about character names not having to be unique in the future. Is that true? If so, those names on gear wont be unique anymore either. Random thoughts.

Then how would I know who to blame when I die in vMA? Its obviously the crafter's fault.
