Question about XP scrolls and blue/purple foods.

I have noticed that when I log off my character while I am in Gold Coast and/or Thieves guild DLC areas, My XP scrolls expire and my food buffs expire while I am logged off.

Log back in and poof..............they are gone

1. Is this by design? for the DLC areas
2. Is this a known error that needs correcting?
3. Is this just a bug on my save set?


I have searched the forums and don't see the question problem or solution mentioned.

Hmmm, my Buffs do not expire when I log off. At least the ones from Foods and Ambrosia. Heck, I had characters that were still on Cake Buffs a couple of weeks after Cake Week expired.

But, I have not taken a character to the Gold Coast/Hews Bane and left them there in a while.

And, one thing to check, are you forcing a log off where your character is still logged to the server? If so, that character will be there for a long time logged into the game. And, any Buffs may time out in that case.
