willymchilybily✭✭✭✭@Xvorg it doesnt proc much. WoE sets Concussed enemies off balance. i find enemies rarely get afflicted with this effect, (lightening equivalent of burning and chilled) i personally find it far less likely to proc than burning, especially for a dk! and im not alone
also you cant weave your attacks so easily with a lightening starve, yet you rely entirely on these light and heavy attacks to apply these status effects, but burning can be applied with ardent flame abilities.
fire starve is still best for DK,WoE does more damage if target is burning, maelstrom starve = increase the damage of light + heavy attacks for those in WoE. burning breath can increase fire damage by 10% and proc the burning. Everything is buffing everything else.
plus synergies including heavy attacks doing +12% more damage from a fire starve +another 40% from molten weapons/molten armaments. (always forget which)

✭✭✭✭✭Lightning heavy is interesting for a DK because it will actually hit just about any opponent no matter what they do, something that is definitely not the case for an Inferno staff attack. The issue is that lightning does not mesh well with the class and even if the target is hit, steady streams of damage are relatively easy to counter/heal/mitigate by even average players.0 -
Toast_STS✭✭✭✭I tried the new charged enchant (200% proc chance) on lightning staff with flame lash. With a shock enchant it sets people of balance like crazy. I still do more damage with heavy attacks and it has a much longer range and AoE. And you can't do this with flame lash
