Player got mad at me for taking runestone they wanted

This guy was taking a rubidite next to a runestone so i grabbed the rune and he sent me a foul message and then i recieved 100000 messages from an account with 0 gamerscore and was booted from the game and unable to log on.
Is there a way to report him through eso or no? this is on xbox

I am sorry for your bad experience with bumping into a sociopath. I'm not sure if you'd need to go through Xbox's report system or ESO's though.

So the guy made (or already had) a separate empty account for the sole purpose of spamming/attacking other players? I can't believe he'd get so butthurt over missing out on a single runestone when there are plenty of others around and then there's the fact they're random.

There've been many a moon where this one had to give up a Chest because of not being quick enough. Does this one go on a thieving/murderous rampage because of it? Course not. Skoo-ahh this one means Moon Sugar Bread is a good way to calm oneself.

I only get slightly put out if I take the time to kill a couple mobs on top of a node and someone grabs it while I'm finishing off the mobs. No rage perhaps a 'sigh' and move on.

There is no reason to be upset at someone taking any mats, drops, treasure chests, thieves troves or targets. There are abundant all around and all respawn fairly quickly. It does not belong to anyone and there is no such thing as laying claims to something within this game. Lets all be friendly and just go to the next spot or come back. It will respawn again. I can see, in real life, if you are eyeing something and right next to it and someone else sneaks in to take it.. but this is just a game. Be excellent and helpful to each others. As I've never sneaked in to take something from anyone. Heck, you come next to me, here then.. take it. There are plenty more.

It is annoying and worthy of me calling him a name under my breath, but that is the end of it. I "try" not to allow people to get under my skin and cause a reaction.

As for two nodes close to one another, if you get there first you get to choose which one you want. If someone comes along and grabs the one you did not choose, it is theirs fair and square.

Ya I only once messaged a guy that took a node that i had to clear of mobs, his reply was that I was fighting mobs , how was he too know I was doing it to loot the node.... thing is he farmed the area for hours and knows damn well that node cant be taken without clearing those mobs, he was just playing dumb.

After that I didn't bother messaging anyone about nodes lol, first come first serve, just play dumb like the rest of them and move to the next one.

I have people running ahead of me taking nodes all the time. It's fine, nodes are up for grabs, if I'm closer and get to choose I usually pick the one most useful for my character and the person coming nest to me can get the other one... fighting mobs for a chest and someone sneaking past to steal it pisses me off, but the most I'll do is leave a "Thank you for the help, chest thief" message and move on. Some people are just asses though.

I occasionally encounter the jerk who takes a node I clearly intend to loot but am otherwise incapable of doing so. Sometimes I'm still flagged for combat from killing the stuff standing over it. Other times, I'm very close to it and a sorc streaks in and grabs it from under me. You can't do anything about these kinds of kids. Technically they're doing nothing wrong but having a little class never hurt anyone. If someone gives any indication they intend to loot a node they saw before me, I let them take it, even if I'm in a position to swipe it.

It's annoying when people are greedy and ninja something you had your eye on but I usually say nothing. If anything, it's usually a harmless "really?" No need to spam people.

It is incredibly rude to take someone's node like that. You deserve all 100000000000000000000000000 messages. I hope they are all individually personalized, and they left some worms for you in the last one.

Happened to me once too. The guy called me some name for taking a rune stone while he was busy on a different node. I just followed him around challenging him for every node he went for until he got so sick of it he wayshrined somewhere else.

:snicker: You do realize that, unless the rune is kuta or rekuta, the worms might be more valuable? I have no problem following jerks who take the mats and leave the worms. I know what they are selling for in some zones.

If someone kills a mob guarding a node, they should get that node. If they unlock a chest and have to delete an item to make room, they should get the chest. If two people are farming and are both grabbing unguarded nodes, then neither has an inherent right.
