Litany of blood.. what a pain in the *beep*!

Anyone else having same issues with finding those targets from the Litany of blood? I been through pretty all the areas and so far, seems only the ones in Grahtwood, Davon's watch and Greenshade are respawning quickly. The other ones not so much. I could be waiting around for 10-15 mins and the same target is still laying dead from another's kill or not respawning at all. Also logged off and on a few times over, but same no luck.

We used to wait days in Everquest for contested quest NPCs to re-spawn.

Seriously though there are some decent guides out there (cou*youtube*gh) and then its just a matter of waiting.
Also bare in mind that some of the kills have multiple NPCs - ie you get credit for the kill by killing 2 different ones.

But i ma not giving that game away it will ruin your voyage of discovery.

@Cazzy.. Oh yes, I do that as well.. like a chicken with its head cut off. Seems like a wild goose chase. Guess I will have to keep going back and forth. I thought maybe others may have a better method of running into these targets. Btw.. are you having a better day?

I think its one of the best things in dlc. The only problem that npcs are not instanced and sometimes theres a few people waiting for them to spawn. XD
But imo its really nice to have Morrowind-style quests, without quest arrows and such.

Yeah six freaking days in Blackrock....six, felt like a king when that NPC finally popped. though.

I think litany of Blood offers just he right challenge you have to look but it's nothing terrible unless you're a content rusher.

You can get them much quicker if you like by watching some how to vids on youtube. I decided to do it without them and am having fun that way.

it's one of the things I love about the game, you really can play it how you want. I go no add ons, no walk throughs. it's tough sometimes but fun. YMMV.

    Good luck :-)

Not so much on my end. I see someone killed the target, then I wait and I also see others around waiting, but no sight. Then we end up searching the surrounding areas for on end.. still no targets in sight.

They have more than one respawn point, you may have just been unlucky and not found them while running around. I've only done a few so far but on one while I was checking their eyes someone else came up behind them and killed them, I ran around for ages before finally finding them on the complete opposite side of the city. With another one I killed they respawned on top of their own dead body after about 2-3 seconds

Hah! There was one mob that dropped a water breathing earring that you needed for some underwater raids that spawned once per day, at a really stupid time within a pseudo random window, that you had to park your toon at for up to a week and wait in line until you were able to kill it and hope it actually dropped within 2-3 days of camping it.

Someone posted a guide here on the forums just the other day. Most of the people chasing it should have done so already so you wont have too much trouble competing for the targets. Watch the video in the guide and itll give you a solid idea of where these targets are located generally.

I agree, having to actually look around, mess with my zoom settings to see the NPC's eyes, look back at the clue, all without the "you should just go over here and push 'x'" quest arrows ruining it. I thought the litany was a lot of fun and hope we get more quests like this in the future.

If you're waiting around where someone killed the target, you're never going to get the target. They wander over a huge area (almost the whole city), and they can respawn in various places.

They respawn almost instantly (I saw one of them respawn close to where I had just killed her less than 10 seconds later - and there was already a body of hers on the ground nearby when I killed her, so she walked past 2 of her own corpses), but if you're camping a spot odds are they'll be somewhere else in the city and get killed by someone else long before you find them. If they happen to respawn close to where they were killed, that's just random chance.

Yes.. it seems to be the luck of the draw. I just knocked out 3 more, but took about 3 hours. I see one respawn in matter of sec after being killed by someone, while the two took some time to find. Like that one in Shornhelm south gate next to the guild traders, for example. Someone killed the target, then he respawn in a few sec, but then someone got to that target before me. This time, I waited 5 mins and no respawn. It took me to come there back and forth about 4 more trips, before I saw him there again. I see a few clips made of their locations, but good to give a general area of where the target should normally be around. I think it may be a glitch if the targets are not respawning right away, doesn't matter where the respawn point is.

It sounds like you're still trying to wait for them at "the respawn point". There isn't a single respawn point for them - they can respawn in many places. You have to move through the city looking for them as they can be almost anywhere in the city. The clips of their locations are just clips of some places where they have been found, those aren't general areas of where the target should normally be - they can be almost anywhere, inside buildings or outside.

Took me 15 minutes to do.
They are easy to find since they spend more time in certain places. For example, some of them spend a lot of time inside FG buildings.

I had a blast finishing that one!

Guessing the probably target from the cryptic hints, and then finding them in the city somewhere, checking the blind eye to make sure, then following them to a secluded location to do the dirty deed... some were easy, some were taking a bit longer, but they all were easily doable, and each was fun, fun, fun! ;-)

There's really no cause to complain about those though. Yeah, some take a bit of running around and checking NPC faces... but they each are all nicely doable without too much trouble.

I would think camping near a dead body would be a bad way to do this and would probably take longer that way, as the targets have multiple spawn points.

IMHO the Litany Of blood was one of the most fun things in ESO. It took a about 10 -15 minutes to find each of the targets.
I just took my time and did 3 -4 a day, I liked the fact that hey moved around all over the city.

Yes, yes.. got 5 more yesterday. Seems some do respawn at same spots and others take some looking around. Stonefall and Deshaan seems to be ones of the hardest since there are so players/characters running around. I have yet to find those.

That necessarily doesn't mean anything. It being 2016 doesn't mean that everything has to be painfully easy and obvious for the content rushers.

Unhappy player: This game is way too hard :-(
Dev: There there little man we're nerfing everything just for you.
Same unhappy player: I finished everything in two hours there's nothing to do ZoS suck Fire everyone!!!!!!

Most players like figuring things out for themselves and having a challenge,. Some players seem to just want to have their quest mob spawn in front of them and drop loot after one hit...thats' just not interesting.

It took me 2-3 hours to complete without referring to a guide. Basically I just followed the hints to try to figure out what my targets looked like (the first one where I figured out what the "eye" reference was about took the longest) and then searched the cities for characters that looked like the (slightly cryptic) descriptions.

Damn I found it easy. There was only one that I had trouble with and it was because the girl was outside the city at the end of the docks.
