Cyrodiil is the fight. Now, it is my only fight. My soul is reclaimed, Molag Bal is defeated, and so now I have turned my eyes to the Gold Tower. After trekking the hills, valleys, rivers and mountains of that ruined land, these are my observations.
Any military campaign must have support. Any successful military operation needs, nay, demands an adequate logistical system. Troops need arms, so generals send them in with arms. What happens when they break? What happens when steel is warped by combat? Troops need armor, so generals send them in with armor. What happens when that armor fails? When it is so dented and broken that it harms the very thing it is meant to protect? This is why logistics exist.
Cyrodill is defined by control, and control is defined by keeps. These fortified fronts are vital to the war effort, for any alliance. Every alliance. But, how does one weaken the power of a keep, or capture one?
A very wise doctrine of war is to avoid expending unnecessary effort towards any target that one cannot reasonably expect to secure. So, what do you expend effort to take? Logistical support. Every keep has logistical assets near it, and all are vital. Absence of only one will drastically affect the ability of a keep to repair itself. An opposing army only needs to take one logistical support structure, and the enemy is at an automatic disadvantage.
