Mephala's / Maelstrom DW

So I have never had Mephala's Helm drop, and I never really farmed it in the past. Now that it has changed to poison damage, it seems promising on my stam DK.
I am wondering if anyone has tested it with the Maelstrom DW weapons. Does the DoT proc from Mephala's get empowered by the Cruel Flurry enchantment?

✭Mephala's does not, it's an AoE DoT and not a single-target DoT.

✭The thing about Mephala which makes it super good in PVE anyway is you can control the uptime usually upwards of 95%.
It works very well with Syvannas Scales a very under rated set.0
