I get it, its a new DLC so I know its gonna be horribly laggy, so I just avoid the new quest zones and all populated area's... BUT WTF my game is crashing everywhere in the middle of no where!!! VMA is just as laggy if not worse than before and just makes you want to quit. Even when you manage to drag yourself through the RNG and you beat the LAG BOSS your still up the creek with a big timber rammed up your bum the game will freeze and crash. Don't worry though right? Yall got mounts and outfits that provided we can find somewhere where there is no lag in ESO utopia fairy land, we can stand and look at our outfits and be happy!!!

Have you tried to do a repair? Personally,I havent had any of these problems with the DB DLC.I'm on the NA PC server.
I know that doesnt help,but maybe that repair might.

lag is not the word holy *** trying to get a pledge takes a hour cause all these 130-200 ppl that have more time than capped cp ppl sit there spamming aoes all day

DB is just another *** dlc thrown on top of their other *** dlcs.

Although my first impressions of DB are worse then the other dlcs.

The game just keeps getting worse, imo.

You really need to submit a ticket.And dont listen to those people who tell you you'll never get a reply.I do whenever I send a ticket in.

no it did not help, and I have submitted a ticket the only thing I've gotten back so far is that they have received my ticket. Interestingly enough it lagged less in Cyrodiil than it did in VMA. Which is just ludicrous considering in one you are playing solo in the other you are interacting with up to a couple hundred players at once.

Every DLC has bad lag at first but it is worsening with each one. You're not the only one OP but hang in there until they get the fix in.

I have received an email telling me to use their troubleshooting steps and if they don't hear back from me in 96 hours then they will look into it further....

Trouble shooting steps are:

Restart game client from dashboard(cause I already have to do that to log back in when it crashes this totally doesn't fix anything)

Hard Reset xbox(while I don't have to do this cause of the crashes, doing it doesn't make it stop lagging or crashing)

Uninstall/Reinstall game...

I once had to do a reinstall.It took me forever,but it seemed to work.This was for insanely often loading screens about a year ago.

ZOS just keeps cramming data into the servers and every DLC the lag and load screens are getting worse. The load screens are becoming more frequent and longer because of all the extra BS each DLC has to load not to mention costumes, mounts, and now personalities.

I could go on and on about the issues this game has but ultimately it comes down to how ZOS has poorly mismanaged / underestimated the IP. The infrastructure is overloaded, "priorities" are totally out of touch with player base, and as long as people keep playing and pumping cash into this ZOS scheme, continuing to accept mediocrity, they will only continue to feed it to you.

I'm xbox EU server, before this update the game could sometimes be a bit juddery (particularly orsinium) and that seems to have been fixed, that's the positive, now for the negatives. Previously if I got on my mount and sprinted after first appearing at a wayshrine sometimes I'd hit a load screen, now I get 2 or 3 loadscreens between the wayshrine and the bank in pretty much every city, well maybe not rawl'kha. Also when first appearing at a wayshrine, entering a delve etc it now takes ages (at least 30 seconds and quite often longer) for enemies and npc's etc to appear. The combination of constantly hitting load screens and invisible enemies is getting me killed countless times. I'm hoping these are temporary problems due to the number of people downloading the update and playing the new dlc and will resolve itself once the peak is over or it'll get fixed sooner rather than later as even though I'm enjoying what I've played of the new dlc so far I'm finding myself just standing around for a few minutes every time I go through a load screen to allow everything to load and in the hope I'll be able to go more than 20 steps before hitting a load screen

I DC'd five times last night, three times in Rawl'kha (which is unsual for me) and twice in Cyrodiil (which is not unsual). I've noticed that it takes longer for players and NPCs to "pop in" after I log on. The dark, shadowy outlines of players last a whole lot longer and it takes forever for bankers and other NPCs to pop in.

Yeah pretty much anytime I zone into anywhere I can't swap weapons for 1-3 min's, and NPC's won't load in even combatants. I almost died to an invisible Mammoth when I stopped next to him then was hit with a loading screen right as I started taking damage.

I will say this, it appears that Cyrodiil is performing better, I took a short jaunt in there this after noon and it was fairly smooth. Not anywhere near perfect but much more smooth than it was pre DarkBrotherhood, still dcd when I got stormed over by a friendly zerg attacking a keep though.

Combat at least on the xbox seems a bit more fluid, and reliable. VMA though is still every bit as awful and worse, although that might be partly attributable to the heavy server load from the flood of players coming back for the DLC.

VMA is pretty awful though, you won't be able to interrupt an NPC but will expend all your stamina bashing him only for him to disappear and reappear 20m to the left. You will die and the animations will be displayed over your dead body, you will sink into the ground and be unable to move till you are killed. You will be CC'd repeatedly despite having CC immunity, NPC's will stop taking any damage from you for 10s or so, which if you are lucky enough to survive means you will still die later because VMA is tuned to overwhelm you if you don't kill things fast enough. Multiple waves of enemies will spawn at once instead of in succession. When you finally fight your way through the random deaths and lag, your screen will then freeze and your client will crash.

I spent several hours in there yesterday and pushed my way to the final boss but was unable to kill him because of the lag.

With all the player and lag in DB PS4 NA, I was happy to use an Auto-Aim skill to get a hit in before the boss dies. I can see why players were farming XP at the bosses. Quick kills by player mobs for high XP.

I've had constant stuttering and lag since the last patch update (the one after DB).
