@ZOS_GinaBruno @ZOS_JessicaFolsom There's more than enough complaint and rage-filled threads. This isn't one of those. I don't imagine that any of those angry people really understand what goes into making a multi-platform MMORPG. I don't--so I won't even pretend. After having piddled around on PTS, then diving into DB live today on PS4, I have to say:
amazing job. Really, truly, didn't expect the content to shine as much as it does. (Before we proceed, if you've come into this thread to troll, I will ask the mods to remove you as being off-topic, since this is a thread about DB's merits, not its faults.)
Enchanting. First off, I loathe crafting. In pretty much every game that I play, I do it as a necessity, not as something fun. Therefore I'm amazed that you folks took something as alienating, fractured and obtuse as the previous enchanting system--harvesting in particular--and refined it into something slick and usable. Getting a grab bag of 2-5 runes across the three necessary component tables is a stroke of genius, refinement, and brings a Vegas-style excitement to cracking open a node. This, as opposed to racing around the map, looking for the appropriate glow of the node you want and then praying that it's not a garbage rune (Ta). I don't dread farming anymore. In fact, I did it for two hours today and had a strange kind of monotonous fun.
Personalities. Um...these are great. We need more, and many varieties, and as soon as your creative team and designers can churn them out
Animations and Combat Tweaks. My first vet (random) I felt that things were slow and sluggish. Then, I noticed that my animations were simply competing without clipping. Now, battles seem graceful, tactical and even easier to position (when tanking). This, combined with the (somewhat buggy--there are reports for you folks to check) Sacred Ground passive of the Templars, and you've restored an immense amount of my faith in this game. I felt as if Wrobel was passing Temps the turd-salad and telling us it was chocolate with that whole: "Templar House" business. But I see where he was going with the class changes, and the longer-term planning that was in play. Also the blocking "nerf" seems utterly negligible to me, and I run two magika tanks. I think that others classes, which are still in the process of transformation, will see the same balancing in the end.
LFG. Still a bit buggy, and needs more options, however, the overall experience has improved. The vote-kick option is great. In my first dungeon there was a lowish CP DPS who apparently spooked the "leet" dps into trying to vote-kick him. He stood there and wouldn't move even after we cleared three bosses, then eventually gave him the boot. I also like that with the 15m debuff, I'm less likely to just drop a group myself and insta-que as a tank (or healer). Strangely, it encourages teamwork since everyone knows they either give it a shot for 15m, or they decide to call it quits together. Oh, the replacement function (for dps, which should be dime-a-dozen), doesn't seem to work though. Tried it a few times and then just beat Darkshade Vet with 3 ppl.
UI Refinements: Proper names for a fantasy game instead of Deeznuts88. Check. Cute little item frames that pop up around treasure displays. Check. There's more, and I can't remember them all, but those are the two that stand out the most. Oh, and the transparent shield that indicates blocking isn't something worthy of the hyperbole surrounding it's implementation. I quite like it. Makes me seem even tankier. Perhaps give people the option to turn it off an leave it at that.
Gold Coast. Beautiful Area. Stunning, really. Possibly one of the most enchanting environments that I've seen in the game--the delves are great, too. I think that was why it was so easy to farm this afternoon while rolling over the golden hills on my lion.
Keep up the great work guys and gals. I know it's not easy, and that these forums can seem like an echo-chamber from Hell, but the reality, among myself and other happy customers, is that you're delivering a great (artistic) product. Also good to remember is that the people who are on here ranting are doing so because they're passionate about your/ our game. At least, that's the optimistic angle one should take

All the best.
