Expansion of battle music

Hello people of the forums,

I would like to take a moment to complement the music of the game and say that it really adds to the ambience of the environments. Elder scrolls games are well known for their amazing soundtracks and this one doesn't let down. One of the the things however I would like to point out is the lack of variety of combat music in this game. Unlike other elder scrolls games, this one really lacks as much variety and only has about 3 separate tracks depending on what is being fought. One for common encounters which are simple drums, one that plays every once in a while when fighting important npcs, and one that plays when closing dark anchors. while many will suggest to simply play my own tunes in another window, id like to state that while playing pink floydd in the background is tempting, it lacks the same immersion that hearing elders scrolls music plays in game. On an added note I believe the expansion of combat music is well needed to add to immersion and to make it feel like mehrunes dagon himself has challenged me himself to battle when facing mudcrabs.

Agreed. Have a few posts and many comments on this. More region-specific music, event/mood music, different general battle music, and unique pieces to play for each example of instanced grouped content (4-player dungeons, trials, etc).

It really adds to replay value and also makes the overall game experience much more enjoyable. I sometimes listen to YouTube for the boss/dungeon music from my favorite MMORPG runs.

Absolutely love the OST in ESO! Fantastic job to the guys writing it all! :)

I am honestly looking forward to the new soundtrack as much as the new zone. Music is huge to me, and some of my favorite moments in every zone are going outside of the map (most beautiful areas are always out of the normal zone boundaries).

This has been the case in Wrothgar as well as Hew's Bane for me. Can't wait for tomorrow B)

I have yet to have visited the dlc areas, do they actually have unique soundtracks?

If by unique you mean they came with the DLC zone then yes. They are not limited to those places though, and some soundtracks have completely replaced older ones, namely the battle music.
