Is the stuff from E3 everything we get, or will we be positively surprised after Quakecon in August?

I doubt that the stuff announced at E3 will be everything major that we get this year.
I guess that at Quakecon 2016 in August, we will be suprised and we will get at least the Barbershop and PVP arenas..if not more.

I very much doubt that this will be the only thing coming this year.

It's just their big E3 announcement. They will no doubt start talking to us about new content, DLC and mechanics soon internally to our community.

Too much drama on this...

1. They usually announce a DLC officially a month before... the Q3 DLC has until the end of Sept to still come in as Q3... which means PTS by the end of August.

2. At the top of the forum there is a stickied thread about Quakecon where they are clearly planning something...

3. Quakecon is at the start of August..... approx a month before the DLC needs to be on PTS for them to keep to schedule... (See the links & timing starting to all fit into place?!)

I guess they needed to announce something at E3... so went with onetamriel as its something that will please many.... I expect the DLC previews to be at Quakecon... they're still in the middle of the big push on Dark Brotherhood sales after all...

I haven't actually watched the announcement from E3 but it seems highly unlikely they would have told us every single thing they're planning for the next year all in one go. Especially since the only thing I've heard about from it is removing alliance restrictions for PvE.

I have no idea if they'll announce it at Quakecon or some other time (I never really got the logic of doing a big announcement for an update to an existing game) but I'd be extremely surprised if they didn't release anything new or make any changes except for the stuff they've already told us about.

I hope there is more announced at Quakecon. The E3 announcement was quite disappointing. Obviously they're not going to talk about negative things going on in th game at a forum like that, but they have a lot of work to do this year. Mainly with performance.

I'm really hoping they maintain the one DLC a quarter. The last two were far too small to keep us going for too long and of course we're all still waiting on housing and barbershop.

It's taken ZoS more than two years to add The Thieves Guild and The Dark Brotherhood, that should have been in from the start and they are a VERY long way from making the whole of Tamriel playable, which was promised at the start.

Don't go expecting anything to happen quickly, you'll only be disappointed.

So... since they announced quarterly DLC they have kept to their word, announced dlc a month before.... and delivered on the schedule...

They have a confirmed event at Quakecon a month before the next dlc would be due to keep on schedule...

What from all this makes you think that 'The stuff from E3 is all we're getting'?

The next update really needs to be a Wrothgar-sized level. I loved the story of Thieves Guild, but going through endless repeatable missions over and over and over is frustrating. That said, it added a lot of additional variety here and there. But not enough to really have the meat of something like Wrothgar.

The way I'm reading the stuff that's been datamined my hunch is that Q3 will be no new zone.... some 4 man dungeons, housing, barbershop etc.

Q4 will then be the big one just before xmas... Vvardenfell!

This....the content updates to pve and pvp since orsinium have been tiny at best....and riddled with bugs, exploits and performance issues...

Takes less than a week to complete DB content...and that's if you play it slowly...

I believe they are holding back on what they will announce in August. Just a hunch,but it feels like there is something they want to keep as a surprise.
I do like whats been offered so far though! Cant wait to see if I am right or wrong!

ZOS has a pretty strict policy currently that they dont release too much information before theyre close enough for a release. They just launched Dark Brotherhood on PC two weeks ago and its coming out tomorrow on Console. Had this not been occurring so close to E3 we might have heard more about upcoming changes. But then again, they did say theyre trying to work in more QoL DLCs into the cycle and that the additions of zones wont always be the focus. QoL updates arent always big selling points. This One Tamriel is probably the biggest thing thats coming in Q3/Q4.

If we are going to get anything else...Which Im sure we will. Itll be announced at QuakeCon. Obviously they arent going to drop all of their news at E3 and then have nothing to announce at Bethesdas QuakeCon.

They have to release something to sell as a DLC to keep making money. QOL changes to the base game are nice but those won't pay all the salaries and the costs to keep the servers running.

I think they'll announce something big for the end of the year.

Quakecon is were we'll get the upcoming DLC announcements. Maybe the One Tamriel will launch with a new DLC area, or maybe One Tamriel will launch and a month or so later the DLC will launch. Depends on how much they want to test One Tamriel first.
