Is Empowered not working for Templars?

I just wanted to ask others if you have noticed...

I "popped" my Inner Light prior to firing off (well any) Templar skill to get a boost from being Empowered, and according to the tooltip it does not show any more damage than without.

On the same bar I had Force Pulse and the tooltip for this does show increased damage.

Is this just a tooltip issue across the whole of the Templar skills or is Empowered not working for Templars?

Empowered does not work for DoT and channel skills.

I thought that it did effect the first tick of channeled and AOE skills.

Like Shooting Star. It willl boost the impact damage but not the DoT damage.

Would have to test but... DOH!

It works with your Piercing Javelin, Spear Shards, Focused Charge, and strangely enough recasting Solar Flare as long as it's not Solar Barrage morph. All your other Templar specific spells gain no benefit from it.

perhaps i must have a tooltip bug, as my Shards and Charge did not show it increased the damage...good to know it is working for you at least...time for me to go back and do some more testing

Ignore tooltips and test only actual damage using a 3rd party damage meter or the built in one.

Also it will only affect direct damage attacks and not any part of a channel or DoT.

So it should increase the initial hit of Blazing Spear for example, but it should not affect the DoT portion of it. Same with Reflective Light, as another example of a skill with a direct damage and DoT component.

I noticed this yesterday with my NB, I use sap essence and the tool tip doesn't show the changes all of the time.
