Right, need some build help. Im being lazy asking but never played a healer before and online builds all seem end game etc

basically i have a L12 Templar mule I'm going to do a reset on when DB drops (Xbox) as have some new players in my guild starting out, So some advice for a low level healer build to help them dungeon and maybe BWB PvP.

So best low level/early templar healing skills, restro etc, I have 320CP too from my main to allocate.

Toyed with building a Sorc pet build healer but not got the play time to level one up, Cheers

The 320 cp will help a ton.
As a healer focus on recovery and spell damage. Use drinks instead of food.

Because you're a Templar, you don't "need" a resto staff but the extra mana on heavy attack helps. Also Rapid regen is actually a great heal to sprinkle in with your templar heals. Only use breathe of life when players drop below around 50-60% to avoid over healing. Keep Major mending up with rune focus or cleansing ritual. If you're not comfortable healing don't hesitate to slot Rite of Passage as your ultimate. You won't need it as you get better but it will save your party's life in a pinch.

No real build just use skills that heal. The rest comes with practice. Those end game heal builds will be waiting for you later.

In dungeons especially with PUGs and low levels - people who don't do a lot of damage, don't tank, don't have AoEs, die quickly, don't have gear (using crappy dropped green gear) etc. You'll need a lot of heals.

I'd recommend that healing ultimate, it's a good ult at low level. Also if in pvp as a low lvl, it's good in big fights, radius is huge. At a later time could use Barrier - pvp ult.

Anyway I'd recommend using rapid regen it's a great heal over time. Ticks for over 2/3k and it's very good in pvp too. In big fights.

Then id also consider heal springs - cheap and spammable if group is bunched up. Mainly for low levels although I've had to use it in vet dungeons before.

I only use breath of life when they're about 20-50%. When you PUG enough you get a knack of knowing what they can take. Also resto passives are helpful.

Finally try add dps, if your group is new they'll likely have low dps and you can help by dropping some dps, sweeps is great - be wary you will be in an animation so get ready to cancel it if your group need healing, nova ultimate in dungeons on back bar, reflective light is good too.

At higher levels id have another look what to use but you'll probably find a good rotation yourself. What I'm suggesting is for you helping out lower levels with no CP, gear or experience.

Also try getting entropy for bonus spell power. It's a cheap move and the Templars don't have a move that gives major sorcery 20%. Although you have a good group passive which is helpful when using dawns wrath abilities., they stack btw.

Maybe first 3 zones and should get you to the right level.

Unless you're rich and can use crafted spell potions at low levels - not recommended.

Sets: your choice but on my low lvl Templar I used: kagernarcs 5 piece and 3/4 pice Magnus or seducer.
Can use 5 seducers and 3/4 Magnus etc. Even 5 julianos and 3/4 seducer etc.

If pvping often USE impen armour trait. Same goes for your low levels guilders or they'll be getting hit 10k plus.

I'd recommend atro mundus stone - mag recovery. Worry about thief (spell crit) at higher level.

Note: I say 3/4 meaning if using a staff that would be 3 and 4 would be if using dual world swords or sword and board.

It's cool and cp is preference but I go:

Blue - A lot into Ele expert, some into thaum, maybe 10-20 into Spell crit damage (more at higher level but at low level you have low crit chance) and at least 20 into blessed - bonus healing.

Red - mainly split between hardy and Ele defender. I also use some (about 20) into reduce crit damage, depends how much impen you've got on... If you're 3 infused and 4 impen then I'd say aim for at least 15-20 into there. Can also use some into quick recovery but I don't bother with that at low level.

Green - Most into mag regen and rest into reduced cost.... When you get scaled you'll have a lot of regen - from armour sets, jewellery and atro mundus.

So it makes sense to put more into regen (higher the regen stats you have the more you put into regen. Say if you have only 1000 regen when scaled it's not worth putting all into regen, if you get what I mean) so for you majority into regen, rest reduced cost.

I also put about 10-15 minimum into reduced cost of break free, this is for pvp but it's preference.

Forgot to note on armour sets it's preference but when levelling a new magicka character I normally go with 6 light and 1 heavy. Doesn't make a big difference but it helps in dungeons a bit, I normally make the chest reinforced, rest impen and sometimes I go infused on big bits. But the benefit is very small at low level, so I'd recommend all impen especially in pvp.

Recently I've been levelling a a few new characters and in this set up 6 light/1 heavy, the highest wrecking blow or execute damage I've taken is no more than 6k, although average is about 4k. This is doing a lot of pvp - this is mainly down to impen.
Bare in mind in also didn't have my major spell/physical buff unlocked ie rune focus/ boundless storm etc.

To put into perspective when I've been levelling a new character using wrecking blow I've crit for over 10k quite often with highest being over 13k... As say a level 20 stam dk.

One last note: it's optional but when levelling I don't put all attributes into magicka here's why- because of the scaling you can have a lot of health and magicka. So say you have 20 into magicka and 10 into health IMO it'll benefit you much more both in the dungeon finder and in cyrodiil. On my Templar when scaled I had 40k magicka and 30k health at like lvl 20 something.
