What is vulnerable to each kind of damage type?

Aside from Physical and Magic damage, which I guess are considered neutral, what is vulnerable to the other kinds of damage PvE wise? An example Fire does extra damage to Trolls, Undead, and Vampires while Poison does extra damage to werewolves, but what about the rest? What is Disease damage most effective against, how about Cold or Shock damage, are there enemy mobs that actually take bonus damage when struck with these types?

    Yes. One I've noticed is that Ogres (such as the ones in Wrothgar) are weak to Poison. Tag them with a regular old poison injection and they take more damage and are actually knocked down briefly. IIRC, the damage is even named, something like "pestilence."

    EDIT: some zombies (undead?) are weak to fire damage.

    I'd like to know what type of damage is most effective against storm/shock monsters. Them storm atronachs like to whoop me and don't seem to care much what I'm shooting at them. I do know from the helpful death recaps that they're resistant to poison, which explains a large part of my problem, but I don't know what actually will work against them.

    too bad theres none of this info on the wiki page, i liked knowing creatures weaknesses in other games.

    Vamps/undead/trolls/plant mobs frost wraths/ air atros/flesh atros - weak to fire

    Flame Atronachs and other flame mobs - weak to frost

    Harpies/ogres/hag ravens/werewolves - weak to poison/disease

    Humanoid mobs (giants, goblins, and humans)- weak to anything really

    Daedra(dremora,Xivalli,Xivkyn)/ chitonous mobs (crabs, dreugh)/wisps and wispmothers - weak to shock dmg

    Vamps/undead/ trolls - resist frost dmg

    Shock and air atros - resist shock dmg

    Plant mobs/ spiders/ forest mobs - resist poison and disease dmg

    Wisps/ Ice wreaths/ - resist frost dmg

    This is what I've gathered from testing hope it helps!

    I really wish these types of resistances and weaknesses made more of a difference. They usually do in RPGs.
    But PvE in ESO feels so homogenized, if you don't go out of your way to test these things, there is no notable difference at all. Possibly because they want everyone to be able to complete PvE content, but I feel it comes at a cost.

    Weaknesses and resistances to chop, slash and thrust damage, like in Morrowind, would also be fantastic.

    That's a fair comment, I don't feel much difference between fighting a gargoyle and fighting a storm atro.

    Tbh I rarely die to a normal mob when questing and been left wondering what to slot to get the better of them. My main went from lvl 1 to VR16 without ever dying to a normal quest mob or quest boss, unless I suddenly had to go afk mid-fight to answer the phone or the door or something.

    Well, there it is.. Seems these are the answers for those asking about it. Good job in putting it together.

    In PvE, I just whack them all with my wrecking blows and they all go crashing down. Just throw in weapon damage enchants to your jewelry pieces, look for armor sets that give extra weapon damages and stam and increase your CP towards your heavy attacks, bow or staff, and you'll be fine.
