If I have a bow, and place a disease damage enchant on it, and then open combat with Snipe. Assuming the glyph is not on cooldown, the disease damage will proc on the initial Snipe.

Now if I have the same bow, and put a 348 WD glyph on it, and open combat with Snipe. Again assuming the glyph is not on cooldown. Will the initial Snipe's damage be boosted by the 348 WD proc? Or will I only have 348 additional WD on all subsequent attacks within 5 seconds?

It should apply to the initial attack and all that follows within that 5 seconds.

    Thanks @phaneub17_ESO

    Can anyone else confirm this?

There's another thread out there on this somewhere, but it's a topic worth bringing up again. I was testing out a weapon damage glyph on my two-handed maul and discovered that the bonus to weapon damage only procced on light or heavy attacks. Critical Charge, Wrecking blow would not proc.

This probably isn't a big deal for PVE as weaving is a common practice to build ultimate but it's really annoying in PvP.

I just tested it. I made two v14 bows. One with WD glyph. I charged heavy attacks from the same distance on a giant in Wrothgar. The one with the glyph proceed off the heavy attack, however, the damage boost didn't seem to apply to the initial hit which is what I was hoping it would do...

This is interesting information. I've always prefered enchants that deal damage over WD enchants.

get the unresistable damge glyph if you want to be a ganker. Use the cov/dominion/pact bow as the enchant is 2x as strong as a regular one.

ive heard about it, however im not sure if its worth dropping other sets to wear it. i dont think the enchant is 2x either but it is better.

what about the other 3 piece sets? do they not have similar enchants also?

Sorry to deviate the thread a tad, but @DKsUnite do you mean the Pact style weopons get a stronger enchant? Thats news to me!

I believe there is a bow that can be bought from a PVP gear vendor that is titled "Pact's Bow" which has a unique unresistable damage enchant that does 5068 damage. He is not referring to the style in general.

Basically I am min maxing my build for high initial burst damage. Currently I am using a Sharpened Maelstrom Bow solely for the 189 WD (I never use Volley in PVP on this build). My initial thought was to change to an Sharpened Agility bow and put the 348 WD glyph on that bow, that would free up a jewelry spot for a 3rd Gold Leki's necklace to achieve higher stamina.

However, this would only be viable if the WD enchant applied to the initial hit, and in my testing, that did not appear to be the case.

So I guess the question is, does the unresistable 5068 damage enchant from the Pact's Bow equate to more burst damage, than the 189 WD (283 WD with buffs applied) from the Maelstrom Bow. After battle-spirit the enchant would do half damage, but would probably crit for around 5K.

I wonder if the guaranteed crit from stealth or Shadowy Disguise would apply to only the initial Snipe and not the enchant, or both. If it was one or the other, I would hope that the damage enchant would not "steal" the guaranteed crit from the Snipe. Another thing to test I suppose.
