What do you do after silver and gold and all dlc are complete?

I know this might seem like a stupid question, but...... What do you do after silver and gold and all dlc are complete? I finished the main story and I just finished silver today. And then I need to finish the DLC. After that I am lost on what to do.

Depends. You can farm gear for raids, pvp, farm achievements, craft, learn the market to make gold, make alts, generally anything MMO-ish.

Help-out/play-with guild members/friends/others. Do content for the enjoyment of the content itself rather than the reward, do undaunted pledges, attempt daily missions in DLC content, etc etc. Pick flowers. Fight in Cyrodiil. Lots to do.

I actually made myself a list. Obviously, if you don't care about doing some of these things you could take them off. I was also thinking more day-to-day instead of just long term:

Solo PvE
1. Complete all unrepeatable quests available in the base game and dlcs (having the Destinations addon helps to make sure you don't miss anything)
2. DLC World boss and Delve dalies
3. DLC Guild dailies/repeatables
4. Crafting writ dalies, research, horse training
5. Vet Maelstrom, try to get on weekly leaderboard

Group PvE
1. Daily random dungeon xp boost
2. Silver and Gold Undaunted pledges
3. Weekly trial, try to get on leaderboard
4. Maw or Sanctum runs when possible (being in an active trials guild helps)
5. Craglorn, Dargon Star Arena, Hel Ra, AA...just for fun

PvP
1. Help your Alliance with Keep attack/defence, with or without large group
2. AP farming opposing factions via resource camping, IC grand melee, etc.
3. Flag claiming/holding in IC and Tel Var farming in owned districts
4. IC sewers grinding for fast xp and Tel Var farming, and some PVP
5. (More solo PvE) Cyrodil repeatable quests
6. (More solo PvE) Dolmen farming for boss gear

Misc
1. Guild Store deal hunting and selling
2. Fishing
3. Achievement completion

Lastly, doing all of the above with any Alt characters you care to create.

3. Experiment with said gear
4. 1v1 a friend from a rival faction to try something out
5. 1vX randoms with experimental set up
6. Get reported and ban from game for "hacking"
7. Blow your brains out from depression Create new account

Programming is like 3% of the work behind a game. Its the team of 700+ content developers that you need to worry about.

That's very true, but there is actually an online game, which was basically made by 2 guys and later just 1 - Wurm online - it is on steam as a stand alone version now - it was worked on for about 13+ years - iirc it was based on java.

Play another char? I don't know. In my bunch of charakters none has finished all content in the game. Lots of people in the guild need attantion as well. I have heard of people who enjoy PvP as well. Did you try that?

Something else to consider - as a developer you will basically never play your own game - any time you'll be in game is just about recognizing, if your game works correctly and where you could improve - the whole magic of a game is for players, but not for developers.

Want to just roleplay? Do it!
Want to find ALL the books? Do it!
Want to chase achievements? Do it!
Want to show off your PvPness? Do it!
Want to complete that one elusive set of gear? Do it!
Want to grab champoin points until you hit cap? Do it!
Want to run dungeons with a guild and get all the nifty specuial gear? Do it!
Want to make an alt and see how all of it goes with a different class/build? Do it!
Want to gather crafting materials till you drop, research all the traits and craft the best stuff? Do it!
Want to check out all the hidden nooks and crannies of the game world, see what you may have missed? Do it!

Take a break.. go play The Witcher 3 and/or AC: Syndicate, then come back.. or go into Cyrodiil to pursue to be crowned emperor/empress and help your pact in its pursuit to conquer the realm.

There is lots of endgame stuff to do in ESO. Writs, undaunted Dalies, trials, bounty's, DLC Dailies, sky shards, lore books, play the economy, etc. this stuff takes a considerable amount of my gaming time.

Not much in this game besides farming or trials (dungeons normal or vet will not help you gear up for trials) since there is no ranked pvp.
