https://forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en-GB/discussion/267660/major-savagery-broken#latestI posted elsewhere but then noticed it was in the PTS category (which is over for now).
But I noticed that even expert players didn't notice that when you have a major savagery or major prophecy buff skill on only one bar and no other major savagery / prophecy skills on the other bar and are using the spell pwr or wep pwr tripots (Like +dmg +crit +resource), and switch bars, it cancels out the potion's major prophecy / savagery effect. You can tell by trying this out and looking at your character sheet (C button by default).
For example Flames of Oblivion (a Dragonknight skill).... if you have it only on one bar and not on the other bar, and also not having expert hunter on any bar, you'll have major savagery on that bar with flames of oblivion on it (and no major savagery buffer on the other bar). Now if you drink a Weapon Power tri-pot (+crit +dmg +stamina resource), and switch bars, when you're on the bar without flames of oblivion you no longer have the major savagery buff that the potion provides. The flames of oblivion's major savagery effect cancels the potion's major savagery effect. It is some design of preventing multiple stacks of the same named buff effect. I.E. Flames of Oblivion major savagery buff and the potion's major savagery buff not applying multiple times.
Someone said that it may be a bug, someone else said that it's not really a bug.... bug or not, I think that this diminishes the effectiveness of Flames of Oblivion for example. It is in effect de-buffing you. I tend to think abilities should be boons and nothing else (for the most part). If it didn't cancel the potion's major savagery buff I would use it in more applications of like dungeon and trials dps where I'm using the weapon pwr tripots.
I don't even know if the ESO managers know about this one. Here's the post and the info. A response would be nice just so we could know ESO Team™ knows about it.
