Zenimax's choice in Voice Actors

Its been so incredibly hit and miss with this game. Ive heard voices that were amazingly done as well as performances that are pretty script-read and phoned in. I personnaly have found quite a few side characters with amazing actors behind them as opposed to the mains. I do love that they got Peter Stormare for King Jorunn.

Then again. It's amazing how many different Twilight Sparkles there are in Tamriel...

His IMDb says additional voices. So Im sure hes got numerous characters under his belt but the one I know for sure is the guy you save in NorthPoint in Rivenspire with Dorell. Its right before you confront Dorells son and the Montclair girl. I just played through the area but I cant remember for the life of me any of their names.

Hes the one in the attic of the Inn though.

EDIT: Hes also done voice work for Fallout 4 for any of those who are fans of both franchises.

I still get shivers everytime I hear Malcom McDowell (Molag Bal) - it's amazing!
Deep, concise and echoes over Nirn like a Thundering Presence. It should be used more, especially in new dlc content.

Peter Stormare as Jorunn,Alfred Molina as Abnur Tharn,and Michael Gambon!!
Always easy to pick their voices out anywhere.
I only wish they had found a part for James Earl Jones.His voice would have been an amazing Molag Bal,..though I DO love Malcom McDowall. And it's nice to hear Kate Beckensale's voice too.
And it goes without saying that John Cleese is the perfect Cadewll.
Awe heck,.I love them all.

As much as I love that they got some "names" to do voice acting, I can also imagine how much of a nightmare it is to rework anything those voice actors did. EG: It is nearly impossible for them to alter anything related to the main quest aside from remove content or superimpose existing voice work over new content simply because the voice actor(s) involved in the main quest would be backlogged with their own acting careers.

To be honest voice act in this game make my listen to "stroy" NPC is tell about quest and i just love the are many MMO game that learn few thing from ESO when to add voice act to questgivers.

I think this is a relatively new thing for mainstream actors to do.There have been a few in the past,but now it's getting to be a big thing in games.Having said that,ESO has the most recognizable actors I have seen.They arent "voice actors",but film actors.Every one of them have been in so many films that I have seen.
My favorite actress is Kate Beckensale and it was quite a surprise to hear her voice.Also was a happy surprise hearing Peter Stormare as Jorunn. I love his voice,even though they didnt let him use his Russian accent.

Most is decent to good but some of it is really phoned in. We have all passed that Dunmer on the way to the bank in Mournhold. "Damn .. those .. high.. elves ... nothing ... a ... bunch of ... stuck .... up ... ancestor .... worshiping .... fetchers." Sometimes you get a gem like Lord Wardens well pronounced but intense verbal antics.

I hate King Jorunns voice every time I hear or talk to him I have to mute my TV made doing the Ebonheart questline a pain. not saying Peter Stormare is a bad voice actor but I would probably keep TESO off his resume. All the other voice acting is really great especially Kate Beckensale as Queen Ayrenn.

i love Bill Nighy as king emeric, DC has some of the best written and voice acted quest imho.

myself and all my friends family started AD because auridon was pretty, but I love everything about DC.

Alfred Molina as tharn was awesome too, I remember an interview he did in regards to ESO and he seemed to just love the character and love the work and as a gamer that is just fantastic, to see others approach a medium I enjoy so much with the same fun, passion, and seriousness that we do is just great. makes me respect them so much more.

McDowell and Molag Bal is a great choice, his light quips at dolmens always make me chuckle. There are so many voiced that I recognize while playing, but some tims can't put a name to.

Peter Stormare was Ingmar Bergman's "golden boy" for a while, until they clashed, so to speak. Above all, it's a true Nord accent amongst all "Swedish Cook" imposters XP.

@psygnosi Oh lord, at 10:50 King Emeric's actor said "He was the king of all Rivenspire." Hahah, I had a slight moment of cringe but that's okay. Still great to see the faces behind the voices.

I thought it was really fitting having a Swedish man play the voice of a Nord.

For me, it's Molina, Gambon and McDowell. I found Kate Beckinsale to be quite average and Stormare as well, while Cleese, on the other hand is pure classic. His character, though, was just a mindless comic relief, which is sad. Jim Ward was pretty great with his iteration of Mannimarco as well.

I was impressed with some of the performances in Thieves Guild, too; some great job done over there.

I was trying to give my gf a real short version of the end of the story line and Cadwell's silver, when finally I said "John Cleese does his voice." And it all clicked for her.
