nightblades and templars are too strong

DaWabbajack259
I am a dragonknight with all legendary equipment with around 26k spell resistence. Nightblades and others use crystal fragments that deal around 10k damage and my dark talons are never able to even stop them. Templars keep doing that spell that wooshes their hand in the air and heals them for a lot of hp. Templars also use that light sword ability and I get around 8-10 k damage. I use one hand and sheild with a healing staff and that doesn't seem to even take away a bit of health. How am I supposed to compete when these classes use abilities that are stronger than my own? I was of line for a few months and these classes weren't as strong as back then. I got on every server in xbox one NA, and all the emperors with millions of ap are mostly nightblades. I watch the game clips they make and they are able to cut through hordes of vet 16 players and kill them in a matter of seconds, getting thousands of ap. I realized that I have trouble killing just one of them! I mostly started getting my ap from healing, but I get a few thousand every so minutes. How can players like me compete with players like that ?? About a year ago dragonknights were almost unstoppable, yet now my group of mostly heavy armor dragonknights die in seconds by the abilities of nightblades. I know I can't be the only one who noticed this, so please say what u think of this? Are there any dragonknight emperors out there that can share their experience? It just seems really impossible to compete with many players.

An effective thing to do then as a DK would be to equip both Dragon Fire Scale from Draconic Power and Defensive Stance from 1 Hand & Shield.

Crystal Fragments (Sorcerer) and Swallow Soul/Funnel Health (Nightblade) will be reflected right back at them. So keep those 2 skills on your bars at all times

Next, remove your Restoration Staff and replace it with a 2 Handed Weapon for the Rally skill. It's a mandatory skill for any Stamina build

You literally have the best counter to crystal fragments out of every other class, what are you even talking about.

Well for a Magicka build you can keep the Restoration Staff then, and keep Healing Ward ready instead. I'm planning on going 1H&S + Resto staff on my Mag DK once he's ready

Also, what gear sets are you running?

You don't need to activate reflective scale when you see projectiles. It lasts 4 seconds. Just keep it up often.

I'd recommend Tava's Favor (7 traits), especially for Heavy Armor. Another tip: use Shuffle since it procs the Ultimate gain from Tava's 5pcs bonus

Nightblades can bypass armor; with maces, sharpened, champ points, major/minor fracture/brutality and major empower heavy armor is not useful against most of them. Many run a high burst/sustain setup which the only way to counter is basically run the same. It turns into more of a who can two hit kill who. Templars are tricky you have maintain both major defile and maim on them or they will just heal while killing you (I am assuming you are talking about the jab spam builds). I wouldn't recommend playing in heavy even with the updates it's difficult to play in; unless you like extreme difficulty.

No worries it's my disorder . These people are right about a few things . You do have reflective scales to counter Sorc crystal frags . Several shields to stop Nightblades from criting . You are correct however about DK not being as balanced as the other classes . They need to be brought back up , not Nerf the other classes down in my opinion .

That is sort of a complex answer. If you run solo or go in pick up groups I would say killing players. Healing gets you points if you are in a dedicated group of players you run with like friends or guild members. But when it comes to emp that is done mostly from a team effort and someone who has a lot of time on their hands. Assuming emp gained on a populated server. Also there are other things to it too. Like defense farming at the keeps, resources, mile gates, and major bridges. I have seen a dragonknight healer who was emp; but the person gained it mostly do to team work.

Solo you could make emp but you would have to run a build that maximized killing a lot of players quickly and play nearly non-stop. Emp is really difficult to get on active servers, first you need to lead in ap for the faction and then you have cap all six of the center keeps. When you do this both of the factions will try to dethrone which means a two front war at the last keep.

I run solo, with 7/7 heavy tankblade setup and I don't play a lot; so no I will never be emp. It's just I have played long enough through years to see many emps and know how it's accomplished.
