Really? I really don't like stamina builds...hate the idea of using break free & dodge & skills all from same resource, I hate it. If that's the best dps pve wise though....I may try it out...
What race?

I main a healer/dps with my mag high elf templar since beta and has always done me good, now that VR are removed I am thinking of grinding out more roles for dps/tanks. Might try out a mag templar tank build one day for giggles but for now im looking at making a new character specifically for DPS in trials, vet dungeons and group content.
I know sorcs were nerfed hard, a high elf mag sorc was my plan since their passives seem to be the best for pve dps in group content, but now no idea since the nerfs.
Thinking of making a stam or mag nightblade for pure ganking in pvp later.
So with sorcs nerfed and nightblade more suited for solo targets/pvp...
I guess mag DK is best for pve dps group content now? Dunmer?
Cheers in advance for suggestions.

If you want the most versatile I would say magicka nightblade, you can do good dps without being locked to melee only, and you have no resource management issues.
If you want highest dps, then you are looking at stamina dragonknight, but they only work in melee range, but pull insane numbers with the right setup.
Truth be told, if you know what you are doing the class choice doesn't matter. I have seen all combinations played well in endgame content, with the exception of stamina sorcerer.

The only Sorc nerf was the heal from Surge, but this means you just can't walk into a pack of mobs and survive with the healing from Surge only. On my Sorc, I still pull the same DPS numbers as I was doing pre-patch. And I've not had issues with survivability.

Yes sorcs are still great. Don't listen to all the whiners about all shield being equaled out.
Overload sorc still pulls amazing burst dps. You have to save it for bosses though.
Not to mention sorc tanking is always fun and you cast your shield more than once every six seconds anyways!
KingYogi415 wrote: »@cosmic_niklas_93b16_ESO If you want to be a drama queen about the shield nerf then sure.
This is the most balanced the game has ever been. Any class played with skill is called OP now.
I still get 3 light shot by overload sorcs in pvp when I don't give them enough space.

What DPS skill was nerfed someone please tell me?

It's mainly for when groups in vDungeons and Trials says they have enough healers and looking for more dps, I can switch out to a dps build with my templar on the fly but now that VR have been removed lvl to 50 is easy so want a main dps character to switch to.
It won't be used for anything else except group pve content, not even pvp.
Also wondering what the best tank in the game is for race/class/mag/stam?

Oh, it matters. You can be the greatest stamblade there is... and a halfway decent stamdk will beat your ass on dps.

A sorc can complete the content, it's just that all other classes do it better and more easily. I wouldn't recommend a sorc at all this patch unless you like being the weak link in the group.

Sure, stam dk is overpowered at the moment (in some situations), but you can play all classes in endgame well. You might not get 35-40k dps by the end of it, but you can get 30k dps with most setups in a group that runs all buffs.

Huh, good sorcs can cross 36k DPS. Find a stamina nightblade that crossed 29k DPS in PvE.
