We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the European console megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

3/4 of the DLC so far have been aimed at the stealth playstyle.
Theives guild.
Dark brootherhood.
Gank City.

hope to see puzzle or heavy combat/story based dlc in future rather than whats been fed to us 3 times already. orsinium was great. other 3... well the saying goes "to much of anything will get boring pretty fast"
PLEASE REPLY TO ME WITH @dsalter otherwise i'm likely to miss the reply if its not my own thread

That's what happens when the community spends the first year screaming about why TG and DB were not in the game as they're core guilds.

They have covered most of the "core" Elder Scrolls content now so I would imagine the new stuff will be more akin to Wrothgar without skill lines and focused on new PvE content.

You clearly don't understand why these 2 guilds have been added to the game - in short, these are essential guilds in TES, they are in TES for at least 13 years and a TES game without it is not really a TES game - so ZOS had to add these 2 guilds.

The problem here was, because these skill lines were DLC content, they had to be made so, that they are not essential to have in pvp combat - so that people have the option to either buy those DLCs, if they are interested into the content, or leave these DLCs alone, if they are not interested into them. So no one is forced to do these quest lines and acquire the skill lines, because they are made so, that they support the DLC related playstyle, but are otherwise non-essential skills. Basically the same goes with DLC related armor sets in thief troves for example - they are great for a stealthy playstyle, but are otherwise rather useless, if someone is not into stealthy gameplay.

Well, Dark Brotherhood wasn't playable in Morrowind.

Well, Dark Brotherhood wasn't playable in Morrowind.

But it was there, the guild existed. And you got to know about them early on in the game - I remember to be attacked in the mage guild in Balmora, I guess it was, on a relatively low level by a bunch of dark brothers.

Stealthy play style is not the problem needing 1000 mats to make new gear every update and paying a good price for small empty zones full of people farming for mats. Is a pain.

Now I support the change to have more of a role on the forums from the devs and community managers main reason I resubed. We are not where we need to be it talking and listing is the first step
    In the right direction.

DLC needs to be able to hold it's own without forcing you to grind. Have yet to see this but hey here's hoping.

See, the problem is not game design, if you grind, it is you, what has to change. You are making it a grind fest, it is not the game which is doing that at all. It is your view on how this game has to be played in your opinion which makes it that dull.

The endless grinds kill PvE for me the quest are pretty fun when it's not your 7-8th tine doing it. I spend hours farming mats just to have the new set that made the last ones near useless more time is playing farming and grinding for gear so you can get to what you really want to do.

I agree OP. It's really starting to annoy me that the developers keep making these DLC's that cater to the Nightblade class. As you said, 3 out of 4 expansions promote stealth play. Really ZOS? Not everyone is a Nightblade, and or wants to use Nightblades. Let alone rely on stealth.

Even the damn "class balancing" has been in stealth/Nightblade's favor, for 3 out of 4 updates. Nightblades have remained either #1 or #2 class for 3 out of 4 updates, while being incredibly easy to use. It takes zero skill to play a Nightblade (proof is in PVP and VMSA), as the class is often suggested to beginners for ease of play. Both PVP and VMSA is a cake walk as a Nightblade.

Can we please have content that focuses on other classes please, ZOS? Can you please stop focusing on trying to make players be assassins/rouges? I'd appreciate it.

it would be a clever move from ZOS, if it would be Vvardenfell - it would attract all those, who are not playing ESO yet, but did play Morrowind - I guess, they would be eager to see and experience Vvardenfell in a modern game with better graphics and voice acting instead to have to read all. This might really bring in some coin for ZOS, if they market and advertise it properly.

Yeah, stealth is not really good in ESO - range based, shadows and/or covers play no role in it at all, neither does line of sight - strange way to implement that.

I can see that this is bothering you - but is top-end gear really that different to each other, that you have to recraft it after a new DLC is coming out?- Is there no way to do that with the old gear as well?- Does it always have to be the meta-gear or could a change in your tactics bring good results as well?- I don''t know about it yet, but this might be something to think about for you. If you are not having fun playing the game, because it became work, maybe another way to play the game is imminent then. You are here to have fun, not to work in the game. But this is not a game issue, it is a play issue and you are the only one, who can change your hehavior and make changes to the way in which you play to avoid grinding.

Okay first many of us wanted these guilds at launch, both assassins and pick pockets like not being seen so yea a class that can turn invisible had a clear advantage granted that the ONLY thing that helps us go dark better but it's pretty good.

Nightblades takes a lot skill to play. Have you tired not running a glass canon build? Let me let you in on how the classes are made aka how they get balanced.
    Nightblades Melee burst canon
    Sorcerers range delayed canon
Templars Tank that can heal and keep allies up
Dragon Knight Tanks that wear down your health
Now that's how the classes are balanced now if you want to run a canon build on your tank class you clearly can but you can also be put canoned. Tanky Dragon Knight don't have problems, Sorcerer with base health and no instant burst are still just as good if you don't try to face
    Tank.

When you can all offense the class with the better offense wins we play to our strengths you play against yours who needs to L2P here?

I mentioned in another similar post, that I'd like to see something other than another 'bad guy' DLC in the future. I'm not knocking DB or TG. They're fun in their own way. But I've had enough of anti-hero / villain stuff.

I and others mentioned the Dawnguard. You could even have some stealth elements, but have it focused on serving the 'good', not just being evil.

Maybe in the future they should pair the good guy and bad guy stuff together. Dawngaurd with a vampire Coven, or the Morag Tong with serving the Tribunal.

I actually hope for this year - as their big announcement of the 2nd half of this year, to be released around christmas. But that is just what I hope for - do not see that as a fact.

Edit: and this time around hopefully with less annoying clff racers.
