Connection Time Out after logging in

I can't even get to the character select screen. I've patched and repatched and repaired, I still have to run the eso.exe client directly because the launcher is still borked.
I go to log in and it times out loading up the character selection screen. Kicks me back to the log-in prompt for inactivity.
I haven't changed any of my internet settings in the last year. No new firewall, no new antivirus software. Nothing else is running on the network, and it's basic DSL so it's not because of connection speeds. I don't know what to do except cancel my subscription because I'm not paying for stuff I can't use.
