Bind-on-Pickup trial gear gone Bind-on-Equip?

I've done normal Maw of Lorkhaj and normal Sanctum Ophidia since the new Update and noticed that the bind-on-pickup trial gear (Aether, Ophidian and Yokeda - Alkosh, Moodancer, Twilight and Bastion) that now drops in the normal versions is for some reason bind-on-equip, meaning it is possible to sell this to other players.
Is this intentional or a bug? Because I seem to remember way back when that all the BoE trial gear from AA and HRC was converted to BoP, because ZOS wanted players to earn it. At any rate I feel like it is enough of a problem that the veteran gear now drops in the normal versions (as nSO and nMoL are both extremely farmable), but also having it be sellable is a bit too much. I dislike the fact that people that have never set foot in any of these trials can get the gear now. I'm all for having a system by which it is possible to trade within your group, but this is wrong in my opinion.

Earlier today to mark and denote the tremendous achievement of solving the route between wayshrine and treasure chest, i was filled with the surge of pride as i got new BOP briarhart stuff.
Sure, i got plenty of it and this mostly needed shredding, but it still filled me with pride of accomplishment bc I know other people will be forbidden from selling theirs.
Thats why its so special.
Thats why BOP is so essential to one's self-esteem.
otherwise, my accomplishments would be trivialized.
Oh and i did this over and over and over because, well, after the first couple times, i got the pattern down and could get there fairly reliably and so i could repeat it again and again. With the patterns down, the right gear (dozens of cheap treasure maps bought for gold zones before DB dropped)
Goes to show you, the right combo of skill, gear and practice and you can accomplish anything over and over and with BOP stuff as the reward, that makes it special.
