Will this set ever get buffed? I like the idea of having a set which would be ideal for a healer, but it's just so bad. I don't think I've ever seen anyone use it in any build?

I guess no one uses or really has any care for this set then

It is just too easy to over/preemptive heal in this game that you don't need 'extra' heals like that. I think it would be better if that was a team mate guardian engine, that would be awesome.
Tl;dr really weigh the fun you have in game vs the business practices you are supporting.

One of bogdans hardmode healers is what I'm thinking. (Maybe with slight regens to the other stats)

Whenever I've tried using it, I've either overhealed with hots so it won't proc, or it's procked on the one teammate that didn't really need it. To much rng.

Actually, if it gave you a synergy/use option where you control where the totem lands that would already be much better.

I know healers that run it, but they do so just for fun, and every one of them agrees with you on this point, in that it needs to be buffed or otherwise made more appealing. It's currently regarded as the least useful monster set available. I obviously can't speak for everyone, but I have yet to hear someone state otherwise.

I think the 2 piece should have a buff like "Increase healing by 8%" or something like that on top of the totem drops.

Totem itself is a weak compared to other healing abilities and doesn't proc often enough.

My wife used it early on, but it's just not good enough now.

They buffed the heals %100 but it still only has a %2 proc. I've been wanting to put together a set of redistributor to see if that would make it proc more.

I like the 8% healing for the 2 piece, good idea. Then make the one piece magic regen and you have a best in slot for healers.

The proc chance is so low that if you're healing that much you don't even need the totem.

IMO, they need to make all the monster helm sets more 'reliable' with less damage/healing/etc but higher proc chance, but this set in particular is the worst offender. As Brrrofski put it plainly, the proc chance is so low that if you're healing enough for it to happen reliably, it's often unneeded. Plus the fact if won't proc off 'overheals' means that it won't proc preemptively either. It needs to either proc much more reliably, or be changed. Here are some suggestions:

    1. 10% chance on heal to drop a totem that heals in a 5m radius for 3K base over 3 seconds.
    2. While equipped healing a full health ally grants them a damage shield for 10% of the heal value for 3 seconds.
    3. 6% chance on heal to summon a (Whatever those healer things are in the boss, forget the name) to heal targeted ally for xhealth over x seconds(Numbers tune-able, but I was thinking something like the Engine Guardian as Shunravi said above)
    4. Healing an ally applies Minor Fortitude for ten seconds, increasing their health recovery 10%

There's lots of ways to do this, there really are, ZoS just has to take a leap and make some changes. Not sure why they sometimes seem to make such small changes on things that need aggressive invention, and huge changes where the playerbase doesn't want them :/
Please ZoS, make Monster Helm sets great again (Start by taking Training out -.-)

Everything with "random chance to heal someone" is not very usefull. As healer you have to heal when people take damage and not when rng decides to proc.

My favourit choice for the Bogdan set would be something in line of: "Restore X stamina to your target when healing an ally at full health" That could be a way to make this set viable and buff non templar healers at the same time.

And Prosperous, unless Prosperous makes it a much higher chance to get a decent helm next time. =)

Remove the heal altogether from it...make it summon one of the shadow dudes that control the nearest attacker for 5s / enemy players will be silenced for 5s. 5% chance to proc on enemies in your area heals (healing mage has an area heal mechanic already) would make it far more interesting than a heal that's weaker than springs is anyway.

If the one piece was Magicka recovery, I'd probably use at least half the set. Never understood why there wasn't a counter balance to bloodspawn

I think it'd be cooler if it had a "Combat Prayer"-esque effect on proc - 5% chance on successful heal to grant player increased damage for a period of time

Healers will already be using spell power cure if they have it, and doesn't that have the same effect as what you're speaking of?

Indeed it does - was just a concept. Point being the current set bonus could be vastly improved. Love the Stan regen for group idea
