CP XP Gains in Cadwell's Gold (Post-DB)

Is it safe to say that Cadwell's Gold is giving the same XP from its CP160 mobs as VR16 mobs from DLC areas, now that DB has launched even if you're above 160 CP yourself?

For example: If I'm at CP493, and go grind in my Cadwell's Gold's last area for the last few bit of champion points — would I be receiving the same amount of XP as before the DB launch and fighting VR16 mobs? Or will I be receiving less XP, as I have over 160 champion points?

I'm asking this, as I've not gotten the chance to dabble with XP amounts given in Cadwell's Gold and Silver areas. I've been busy doing quests, getting things organized, etc. And was wondering if others might have some insight on this, as maybe they've done some stuff in the Gold and or Silver areas.

Your character level (for the purposes of combat XP gain) is determined as the max level of gear you can wear, so even someone at the CP cap with more than 501CP has an effective champion level of 160. You will therefore get full xp from all gold zones. :)

For xp gain, they stop counting at 160 so at cp600 the cp160 gold is full xp.

Awesome! Thanks guys. I actually have like 722 or 723 champion points, but was going to grind a bit to 750 (because I have a strong feeling the cap will get raised with the next DLC). Awesome replies. ^_^

If they raise the cap to 1000 what is it really going to change when the gear cap it like 160 or at the most 200 next DLC? I dont get the drive for CP after 200.

It would change quite a lot. Your character would be able to have larger: Health, magicka, and stamina pools. Which means you'd be able to have better sustain. Which means you'd be able to supply more damage and have an overall increase of DPS (damage per second). Which means you'd live longer, because targets that are at 0% HP can't damage you (unless they're bugged and can somehow attack you while dead). Which means you'd be overall much more stronger (relatively speaking).

Not to mention that if you used damage shields/wards, they'd be much stronger (absorb more damage). For example, the amount/value that "Hardened Ward" absorbs is based on your overall max magicka. So if you wanted a ridiculously strong ward, you'd simply stack as much max magicka as possible. An example of that would be 50k max magicka equating to approximately a 31k or higher ward. Plus your individual ward (the ward on yourself and not in a pet for an example) would be absorbing an additional 20%-33% (I don't remember the actual value off the top of my head) damage.

    Make sense?

Nope. Just means the numbers get higher... its like in EQ when I had 4000AA the game was still the same, just bigger numbers everywhere. To change the game they need to make skills go past 50, because once your skills are at 50 you are going to be playing the same toon (abilities and playstyle) your entire life just with bigger numbers... They need to add more skills and make the skill cap 100 to really change the game / add progression.
