Hello

Im new to this game, and could use some help.

I can´t decide which character is the right one for me. I like either magic or swordmen. But what i wonder about is, who is strong enought for a group, who wants for example going splindeclutch. So i need a strong character, but at the same time i want some skills which is fun to use:)

I appreciate any helps from u

Regards

I'd recommend either a high elf or breton magicka nightblade. Dark elf may also be a good race choice but I've only tried the other two. They can heal and do a decent amount of damage at the same time. I run a fire destruction staff on mine on the front bar and a restoration staff on the back bar.

here's a link to a few videos showing you what theyre capable of. You should also check out the guys other videos. Their build information is sometimes in the video description.

I did choose at the begining redguard dragonknight, but it seems to i regret it, because im dien often. But the breton magicka nightblade seems to be interresting. I´ve also thinking about tank, but how good is it to go with a tank? If i were going for a 1vs1 duel, who would win between breton magick and a nord tank?

As long as you don't choose to be a sorcerer you will exceed in at least one role for PVE.

Go stamina build with a red guard DK, you should have more than enough mitigations to keep your self alive and your DPS will be the highest possible in end game PVE, not to mention you will also be able to respec to be the best tank in the game when needed.

Until about lvl 15 you are not going to be killing everything. You can do group dungeons at this lvl (Spinderclutch) but you will be best off getting a group from zone chat yelling, if you go into group finder you might end up with 3 other max level dudes that will either boot you or destroy the content for you.

As far as class, forget about race atm, most people on here seem to think that if you don't pick that one perfect race with it's passives, then you will suck, that is simply not the case. Also, there is a reason everyone is screaming for race-changes, that is the game changes, so the flavor of the month now might not be so much later. I suggest pick the race that appeals to you most, but also keep in mind the passives it gives.

As far as how you play, you need to examine the skill trees of each of the 4 classes to decide, every other skill line in the game is available to anyone. Templar has magic spears and healing, DK some used to be fire, but is now kind of like poison, Sorcerer has pets and some lightning type spells, nightblades have a lot of magic weapons and shadow type stuff.

You will find yourself changing you playstyle a lot to find your nitch, so don't be afraid to go ahead and play around with different stuff.

Idk why, but i feel like nightblade are the right choise, maybe becouse they have some overpowered skills in relation to redguard DK. What i look for is a character with some nice skills, and untill now, i didn´t find anything special for my first character redguard DK.

Im either going for a Tank nightblade, if thats a good choise, or any magic related characters with nightblade.

If i create a new character, am i supposed to restart all the quest, or can i continue the quest where i left?

Edit: I saw a player today, he looked like a tank, but had 2 weapons at once, is he a nightblade?

You will be a better tank with your Stamina Redguard DK, but nightblade tanking is viable, yes.

Magicka nightblades have very powerful DPS and provide great utility to groups, so that is always a great choice.

As for the guy you saw, it is hard to tell with disguises and all. Almost everyone uses Dual Wield in at least one bar, even as magicka builds as those weapons provide better spell power as well as weapon power.

I just created a breton nightblade, but i started at the beginning:( Do i really need to complete the previous quest i did with redguard DK? is there a way to withdraw my characters, so my new character will get the lvl and quests, i gain with redguard DK?

Nightblade. Always fun and lots of creative ways to build it.

Reply: Breton Magicka Nightblade same as me! Yay! Sad to tell that you have to do it all over again. Quests that you have done are character bound.

Finally i found the right character. Breton nightblade seems to be good and fun. I use both magic and assassin, so i can switch to them both when its needed :).

    Thanks for your helps.
