Does stamina increase weapon damage for light/heavy attacks?

In the descriptions it sounds like stamina should increase my base weapon attacks for daggers or bows, but when I put points into it, I don't see a damage increase. I know that stamina increase skill damage, just not sure about light and heavy attack damage. I would like to know does stamina increase weapon damage in the character screen or is it just stamina skills affected? Thanks for the help.

Yeah it does, but I'm pretty sure that swords, axes, daggers, maces, mauls, greatswords, battleaxes, and bow light & heavy attacks scale far more off of Weapon Damage than Max Stamina.

Likewise, this also means that stacking Spell Damage provides far more damage on restoration staff and destruction staff light & heavy attacks than Max Magicka.

Someone else can probably provide the the actual values!

There are two separate factors to determine dmg from skills.

    Ability value = Ability coeff ( 10.45 x max stamina/magicka + weapon/spell dmg)

S&B, DW, 2H and Bow (stamina weapons) attacks dmg scale off max stamina and weapon dmg.
Destro and Resto staff (magicka weapons) attacks scale from off max magicka and spell dmg.

If you increase your max stamina your S&B, DW, 2H and Bow light/heavy attacks should do more dmg.
The weapon dmg value on your character sheet (C) will not be increased because its a different component.

Looks like this is completely the opposite:

    Ability value = Ability coeff ( max stamina/magicka + 10.45 x weapon/spell dmg)

    http://tamrielfoundry.com/topic/pts-2-1-2-sorcerer-arithmagic/

Also for light/heavy attacks is similar:

    Light Attack = 0.014537 Stat + 0.5796 Power - 0.59619 (Ratio = 40)
    Heavy Attack = 0.055076 Stat + 2.1998 Power - 1.27439 (Ratio = 40)

For skills, 1 point in weapon/spell damage stat increases actual damage done by about the same as 10 points in max stamina/magicka. For light and heavy attacks, 1 point in weapon/spell damage stat increases actual damage done by about the same as 40 points in max stamina/magicka. So, yes, light and heavy attacks get stronger with higher max stamina/magicka, but not by much.
